Love this place. Such a special cafe. With a warm welcome. Excellent coffee And home cooking. Cosy seating. Excellent take away Mac and cheese with added extras and delicious beef bourguignon during Covid times.

We had a lovely breakfast here. It's a great cafe with friendly service. Well worth a visit. They also sell some lovely local produce like hit sauce and honey.

We found this little cafe by chance looking around for somewhere to have lunch. It can be described as one of Devon's best kept secrets. The standard of cooking is first rate. There was a friendly welcome and a reasonable (but not huge) range of...dishes on offer. My wife loved her 3-bean salad and my beef pasty was excellent,as good as the best Cornish pasties made in Cornwall (e.g. Philps or Ann's). There was a selection of delicious home-made cakes ( we had a couple). The cost of the food was very reasonable. All in all a very good find.More

We were looking for somewhere to eat and stumbled across this place on Trip advisor. We decided to give it a go purely on the excellent reviews and photos left from previous visitors. I’m so glad we did. It’s a lovely looking cafe and feels...very warm and welcoming the lady that serves us was very friendly and polite. The food tasted great, the portion size was very generous and the price was well priced, if not a little on the cheap side. If we happen to be in the area again we’ll definitely be visiting again and I’ve already recommended it to my Mum and Dad who are regular visitors to the Dartmoor area.More

Stopped by after a trip to the Motor Museum (great place as well to spend an hour or so) a really lovely little cafe, we went with our little dog and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Great gluten free options and cream tea was...delicious. Definitely worth a visit to help support these local small businesses in these uncertain times.More

This cafe was a chance stop in a long trip. The ervice was excellent with the young man serving us being smart, respectful and polite. The menu was varied with a choice of interesting light meals. All the covid precautions were in place and undertaken...in a quiet manner. It was a very welcome relaxing break in our journey.More

I have visited several times and have always found the atmosphere to be friendly, and excellent food and drink. The ice cream milkshakes are delicious and the brownies are amazing. Perfect for a stop before or after a walk on the moor. Would really recommend!

Yes, we love dogs as long as they are well behaved. The same goes for people!
