Popped in for a family dinner after a busy day on the beach. Had to wait for ages (20 mins) for order to be prepared, so expectations were high. Unfortunately our expectations were dashed as the chips were over done - mainly shrivelled up bits of potato (I suspect we got the end of the batch). The fish was better... More

Best fish and chips around, yes you have to wait while they are cooked but they are beautiful, not greasy. Shame they didn't have battered scallops, had them last year..mmmmm

Run by an ex-matelot, very nice fish and chips, pleasant staff, hubby had a chinwag with the owner being an ex-matelot chef too!

I don't normally write reviews, but felt I had too on this occasion. We stayed in rock for 4 nights in a lovely house (gull rock) and had our meals planned out. One of which was fish and chips. Being close to padstow and rick stein we thought the standard was going to be high. How wrong we were! Like... More

High prices, average food, and poor customer service. I wouldn't recommend this place but there aren't many alternatives!

Stopped here for Fish and Chips and then took them down to Rock to eat them on the seafront. Only reason we stopped here was it seemed to be the nearest one. It was pretty busy though and they operate a ticket system, which is good. It's on the expensive side for F&C but actually, the food was excellent.

When we arrived the queue was out side the door but as we were starving we decided to wait, we ordered the food and the wait was around half hour..... It was certainly worth it, the best chips we have ever had. We took them down to Rock and sat on the beach . Really tasty. Would definitely return on... More

I don't often leave reviews for fish and chip shops but seeing as I'm on holiday and I've been really impressed then I will! I visited twice, bit of a wait on both occasions as it was really busy. Had haddock, chips and white bait. All amazing. Chips were incredible. Really crispy. I've not had them like that in any... More

Had to wait 5o minutes for the worst fish and chips I've ever eaten. Fish OK but chips disgusting and inedible. The owner has delusions of grandeur taking each order and cooking it hence the wait of 50+ minutes. What happened to cooking batches of fish and chips and serving people fast? The poor bloke behind me only wanted chips... More

We waited 30 mins for our fish and chips and had high expectations, what can go wrong with fish and chips? The fish (cod and haddock) was ok. The chips were awful, infact I'm not sure you could even cAll them chips, they resembled 'scrag ends' . The portion of mushy peas were tiny. I'd avoid this place at all... More
