Went twice for lunch in March 2017 and previously in 2016. Summer seating available outside to watch the passing parade and markets. Winter is inside and cosy with great service - friendly and efficient. There is a set menu available on certain days - 3 courses for 20 Euros and an amazing deal. Last visit was cream of vegetable soup,... More

We have ordered the fondue moité-moité and it was great. The service fast and good, nice cosy place. Regular price for a Swiss restaurant.

If you want to taste the fondue Please go there, they make the fondue since the 19 century, for desert ask for meringue double creme, 1 desert for 2 will be enough

Nice typical restaurant in fribourg. I had the tartar, which I wouldn't suggest. The fondue was really nice and so were the meringues with cream. My daughter had the omelette (not worth it). If you go stick to local fondue. Got to love cheese and the smell.

The food was good and the price decent BUT the service is terrible. The waitress we got was so bad at her job is close to be indecent ! She clearly did not care. Politeness in service is a minimum. To the management : please do something about your employees! Due to the service and the service only, I do... More

A great place for a great fondue in Fribourg. Very centric, and authentic, and price is very affordable for the quality. Will go back for sure.

Oh yes you better believe we came here just for the fondue. And it was perfect. We had the traditional fondue of a mix of gruyere and another cheese. Served with tiny potatoes for dipping. Delicious! My husband had a special steak that also finished cooking in a pan in front of us on a flame with cheese and herbs.... More

In one sentence: Dont go. Look for a different restaurant that is further down the street. It does not really matter, where down the street, because "CAFÉ DU GOTHARD, CAFÉ RESTAURANT DU THÉÂTRE and others in that area are much better, lower in price, and actually greet you as if you were welcome. We made a reservation one week before and... More

The restaurant offers an authentic Swiss atmosphere using a cozy interior with wooden panels. The tables are not that large and rather close to each other which, combined with the lower ceiling on the first floor, can create a rather loud environment. The place is not too crowded at lunch time so this is recommended if you like to dine... More
