We'd seen, heard and read about Casa Antonio for a while. Trying for a table one Saturday lunchtime to no avail. If you want to go - book. This is a smart, cosy restaurant, not many tables but more in summer when you can eat outside. Everything was very good. My peasant, hubbies chopitos, his Tartar de Chuleta and my... More

If you are in Andalucia, try to visit this restaurant. It deserves a Michelin star. We went for dinner, with friends, and all enjoyed it so much we went back for the gastronomic lunch the very next day. One friend thought that her dishes at dinner were the very best she had tasted in a long time, despite visiting many... More

We were an English party of four that booked well in advance and so our arrival was anticipated by way of bringing one of the chefs, who spoke a little English, out to greet us. A nice touch. We chose to eat at the roadside terrace which was enjoyable and fairly quiet. However the lighting could have been just a... More

One reason why I wanted to visit Jaen was to eat at Casa Antonio. Why information on tripadvosor or Google might not be up to date it is extremely unprofessional and sad that Casa Antonio is not giving any information about their restaurant being closed on Mondays on their own webside. They might cook fantastic food but when customers plan... More

We ate fish and shellfish drank albarino wine. Quality was excellent, all aspects of meal were carefully delivered. This is a restaurant that has evolved through the experience and concern of the owner. However it is highly priced and for many will not represent good value.

There is no better place to eat in Jaén. The outdoor "terraza" is very recomendable. The food is spectacular with a great variety and quality,

This has to be the best food I have had in rural Spain. Hardly any English spoken but the service was attentive charming and happy. Opted for the special taster menu , which was sensational . Great wines and sherry . Homemade ' digestifs ' which were second to none. Well worth a special trip or detour,

What a wonderful restaurant. We were four English speaking guests with just a little Spanish. No one at the restaurant speaks good English but this didn't stop them providing excellent, friendly service and outstanding food. We had the degustation menu - a wonderful menu of local specialities - the most fantastic food. Highly recommended. If you are in Jaen, you... More
