Waiter in this tapas place was very good, busy, as were all servers, suggested his tourist special, was an overview, tables of locals with and w/o kids, drinks, best to sit outside, but very busy.

La Corcha is s family run tapas bar that offers a variety of tapas and apparently also breakfast (which I didn't try). I had a nice time La Corcha, service and tapas were both very good. The tapas cost 2-3 € a piece, the fresh cut ham tapas is recommendable.

This is a typical spanish Tapas Bar, not a classic restaurant. We had several good Tapas, especially the ham is good. They serve local Wine and Beer. Until 21:15 it was almost empty, then it got crowded. Desert not to recommend, nothing home made.

We struggled to find anywhere close to the Mercure hotel for dinner and decided to give this a chance. As others have said here it is a traditional local bar with snacks rather than meals. We enjoyed a couple of bread and Jamon tapas. Only some of the menu items were available and we were guided by the friendly staff

Excellent food. Very friendly staff. If you are going there expecting an English menu and everybody speaking to you in English please stay away. This is exactly a place where tourist will not find unless they stumble upon it. The staff were friendly and spoke in as much English as they could. The food was tasty and the coffee was... More

Staying in Hotel AC 20 meters up the road this was a great find. Nice small place, great food and great staff. We enjoyed the food so much we visited twice, my fiance even enjoyed the Sopressa hot bread so much she ordered another. There is an English menu available on request. Only downside is its close location to the... More

Location is good because it is very close to the AC Hotel where we are staying. There is no English menu, and could not translate most of them with Google Translate. The ones that İ do know were not available. The young waitress never cracked a smile, but she did point to some items that are "bueno". The price is... More

Went for Tapas and thought the toast w/ cheese and onions, the chorizo de vino and toast with Mushrooms and ham were excellent. Neighborhood restaurant atmosphere. Service was great… Waiter went above and beyond to explain the menu to us in English. I would definitely go back.

We stayed at the AC Algeciras Hotel and asked the staff for a recommendation for dinner. They sent us up to the city center (about a 15-minute walk). On the way, we passed by this small restaurant about 2 blocks from the hotel and decided that if we couldn't find any place special in the city center, we would come back and try this place. It was definitely a favorite of the locals. We were served the best tapas that we had in all of Spain. It was one of those experiences that you hear about where the staff makes something special to serve you instead of you ordering it (it might have been that we also don't speak Spanish and we had trouble communicating). It was very casual and only had about 10 tables and a bar for seating. We were served cheese and carmelized red onions on bread, smoked salmon with cavier on bread, and cheese, ham and tuna on bread. It was so good that we went back for breakfast the next morning and dinner that night. We also recommended this restaurant to a young couple looking for somewhere to go for dinner. Excellent!
