The expectations were immense but the first visit to this great restaurant stood above expectations. Great cuisine, friendly staff including the owners who will visit your table. Wonderful view over the town of Nazaré.

We visited Pangeia after reading some reviews on Tripadvisor. We absolutely loved our evening there, staff were lovely and attentive. We told the waiter that we loved our arrival drink and he made us the most lovely Sangria using this wine. Our food was lovely,...cooked to perfection. A stand out was the garlic and chilli prawns and also the sirloin steak with potato gratin. Not a cheap meal (that said we did order starter, main, dessert, several drinks) but worth every penny in our eyes. Chef was lovely too, staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We had dinner at this restaurant for our last evening in Portugal. Great choice. Everybody liked the food. The speciality of the house 'octopus' tasted very well. The other dishes (also the vegetarian) are tasty. Nice view on the city/beach. Helpfull staff.

Great octopus! It’s really delicious and good food. Everything was great except 2 points: 1) the waiters are sooooo rushed. It’s insane. No joke - less than 2 min waiting between any meal decision. We tried to be slow but 3 courses took 55 min....Wtf? 2) pricey compared to Portugal generally Had an awesome night though.More

Went there again, twice last week. Sat outside on the terrace in the evening sun. The food was excellent as was the wine. You are brought sparkling wine as an aperitif when you arrive which is a nice touch. The service is very good and...the owner always comes out to greet you. Great view overlooking the townMore

Best Octopus I ever ate. So delicious. Very friendly personnel, also great for children. Highly recommended.

Having decided to walk into Nazare from my place a few kilometres away l thought I would check TripAdvisor to see if there was anywhere on my way to stop for lunch. I would not normally consult TripAdvisor in a place I know so well...but it's lucky I did. Intised by the superlative reviews I booked a table for lunch. After making my way to Pangeia I ordered the octopus their speciality Words cannot describe how perfect a meal it was. Not just because I earned it having trudged many a long mile to get there but for the perfection of the cuisine the service and of course the octopus itself. Do not consider visiting Nazare without booking a table here.More
