Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went on a Friday night and it was packed - we were just driving through Fayetteville, so we didn't have the 30+ minutes to wait to be seated. Instead, we ordered our dinner to go. One of us ordered a Caprese Melt and it was incredible. The other was thrilled to see the hot dogs could be ordered with a vegan dog - unfortunately, in the hustle of rush hour, the dog wasn't cooked all the way through and was a bit chilly. Overall, we'd still recommend the place - but go when you have plenty of time to kill, not when you're in a hurry!

They have delicious and unusual grilled cheese sandwiches, and you can also create your own. Hubbie had the house ham and cheese. I had the Brie’s Company, complete with fried apples, caramelized onions, and fig jelly (messy but so tasty). They also have a variety of hot dogs, but why?! Service was slow, but the waitress was attentive.

Visited here for lunch while on a school trip to Fayetteville with my son. Wow! The choices are amazing and I want to try them all! They offer a soup and sandwich combo which was perfect for a cold day. Service was friendly and quick. Food is amazing! This place can get busy so expect a wait at lunch times, though our wait was only about 15 minutes just before noon.

This was not necessarily worth the hype. I think you can get an idea of how things are going to taste when you walk in. I had a gluten free pizza and it was okay for lunch. I do absolutely have to brag on the waitstaff. One of them was working really hard to clean the dining room in the aftermath of the lunch crowd. I would say this is the pizza and sandwich version of Chilis.

Your quintessential college town dive: old building, middle of town, lots of taps, and great food. The food was amazing. The Monte Cristo and the pork belly were both really amazing sandwiches. As busy as it was, service was reasonably quick. If you ever get a chance to stop in Fayette"chill" this is the must-stop.
Any SEC fan knows there are certain places you have to eat: AJAX in Oxford, Little Dooey in Starkville, Dreamland in Tuscaloosa, and Hammontree in Fayetteville. I could go on with this list, but you get the idea.

This cake recommended from the guy at the hotel and reviews were good. My sandwich was average at best. I got what I believe they called a cheesbacca it had pulled pork and grilled onions. The problem with the sandwich was there was a tiny big of pulled pork and the sandwich was dry. For a sandwich costing almost $9 it shouldn't have such a small amount of cheese and meat. The French onion soup was good but a little salty. Very disappointing mean for the money.
I mentioned this when I got back to the hotel and was told that his most recent experience he was disappointed with the amount of cheese and meat too.

My husband and I decided to visit this restaurant after some time at a spa. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day and everyone was spaced out well. I ordered a parmagedon grilled cheese and my husband ordered one that was similar to a muffuletta. We also ordered some amazing sweet potatoes fries with Gouda and bacon on them. The sandwich and fries were delicious. Our waitress became frustrated with my husband because she had to name the beers they had to him because she said they did not have a menu but that would be the only downside of our visit. I would visit here again

The artichoke appetizer is one of the best appetizers I have had in ages. The lemon flavored dip that is with it is perfect. Love the French onion soup It is full of flavor and is not over salty. We tried the Brie caramelized onion sandwich and it was cooked perfect. We will definitely come back next time we are here. Wish they had one of these in springfield

Wonderful food, great service, cold beer. We see why this is rated as one of Fayetteville’s best…it is great food. It’s an eclectic menu of grilled cheese sandwiches, with a wide variety of hot dogs, along with salads and good appetizers. They have a full bar, as well. We will be back. Terrific lunch. The outside seating was nice on a hot October day.

Who knew grilled cheese could be so good? The atmosphere is super cute, and includes a nice long bar. There are SO many grilled cheeses (with meats and veggies) to chose from with lots of yummy cheeses. This is a definite must when visiting Fayetteville. Believe the hype.

We were in town over the weekend and wanted to eat here. I noticed the “mask required” sign on the door so to be polite I opened the door but did not enter the building. I asked the hostess (who was at least 12 feet from the door) how long the wait would be for 4 and she asked if I had a mask. I said no but can you tell me how long the wait is for 4. She said “ I’ll talk to you when you put a mask on”. Needless to say we left. The hostess working Saturday, 5/8 lunch shift has ZERO people skills! I would consider moving her to cleaning bathroom stalls where she has minimal contact with customers and the smell matches her attitude.
It worked out for us, we walked over to Feed and Folly where we had great food and SERVICE!

Went here after a 11am Razorback game. Long wait, but food was worth it. Artichoke hearts were amazing. Highly recommend. We both enjoyed our sandwiches, and the blueberry grilled cheese for dessert was great.

We waited for nearly 2 hours (party due to COVID restrictions and partly due to popularity)! This is one of my daughter's favorite places in Fayetteville. My husband and I found it to be so-so, but dining standards in college towns are a bit different than mine. I got Parmagedeon (great name!), but it was surprisingly lacking in flavor. My husband felt the same about his pulled pork something-or-other.

The food is fantastic as always. We were there on December 27. However there were several families with a lot of young children making a lot of noise. The restaurant does not have any sound absorption so between screaming children and running around and drinks getting knocked over on our table front and supervise children it was less than its normal Stellar experience.
Normally there aren’t many young kids (10 and under) in there and it is a fantastic experience and wonderful food

While traveling for work, I decided to give Hammontree’s a try. Boy, am I glad I did! I had the basic grilled cheese and the cobb salad. Both were delicious. The salad was fresh and the sandwich was about the best grilled cheese I’ve had. I hope to be working in Fayetteville more often so I can visit Hammontree’s again!
