We stopped here for lunch after our tour of Trim Castle. It is a quaint, small restaurant with very hot tea and lots of delicious desserts to choose from. We also had sandwiches for lunch which were good. It was crowded but lively and our server was friendly. I was surprised to see business people here along with locals all... More

My friend and I decided to go for breakfast in the tearooms. We asked for poached eggs on toast. We sat opposite the kitchen area, I noticed our eggs being cracked into a dish and then put into microwave. I asked a member of staff if they were cooking our eggs by microwave rather than properly poaching in water. They... More

Small eatery, maybe 50 seats to serve visitors to Hill of Tara. 15 minute wait for table. Fellow travelers had sandwiches of a variety of turkey, cheeses, fish and meats with good reports. I opted for their bowl of Seafood Chowder, filled with 2 types of fish, mussels, shrimp squid and small scallops. White cream base and it is the... More
