Amazing food on board this highly charged atmosphere . Bistro restaurant with slick Tapas bar on the side. Superb location in one of Ireland's best hidden gems . All commanded by the Rear Admiral owner and chef Denis Comperton

We return to eat here every year on our annual trip. Always lively on a Saturday night and it's the sort of place you can really dress up for or go casual. The fish dishes are as good as you would expect for the location....More

We visited this restaurant on a balmy summer night. Staff were efficient and pleasant. Had the most delicious seafood special of lobster, prawns and crab claws. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Avocado starter was very good. My fellow diner had spring rolls and steak...More

The starter of soft shell crab with cucumber and lime juice never suggested that it was deep fried and the overriding ingredient was the bath. No comment was made when one of our party ate nothing but the salad accompanying it. Salmon in spinach and...More

We regularly eat here. Whilst not the cheapest option in town, the food and service are fantastic. A great place for seafood or steak - good atmosphere. Highly recommended. (Vodka & Oyster shots are worth trying)

We have been going to Magee's for years both with and without the kids and there was never an issue. Quite a cosy place so a pram may prove difficult
