A good place to drink in local color and local brews- friendly crowd made us feel right at home. We didn't eat here but enjoyed our beers and a game on the telly.

Dropped in here for a drink and a chat. The front room was full because of the live music which was good. We went to sit by the stove in the back room. Quite nice. The pint was good, the toilets were reasonably clean.

Had a chicken burger. Felt it could def do with a bit more flavour. I didn't particularly like the way it was served (in like a take away container). My friends had the beef burger & fish & chips, they thought it was fine. Prices were cheap so for what you got it was fine.

This is a lively pub at night, especially at weekends. Good mix of locals and visitors. Staff are very friendly. Service is very good. Some nights there is organised music but impromptu sessions can occur. Great place to chat to the bar staff especially the owners son. Nice guy.

Had a loud but friendly Saturday nite here with very good fish & chips and live music. I think this is the best pub in the village, as they were heaving with people

I was invited down to the Blackbird for a few drinks on a Saturday night with friends. A great atmosphere and great music. Paul Casey was playing that night and he was very good. We still were able to have a conversation on our side of the bar. Every seat and table was occupied, and there was still a good... More

We ate here and had a pint early on a bluster Sunday afternoon in late July out the back in the beer garden at the 'Field Kitchen'. It hit the spot, and the fish was very fresh. Bar service and service at the Field Kitchen was friendly. Probably a good place to bring kids to after a walk along the... More
