We enjoyed an early 3 course meal here last month and we can't believe that we have only just discovered this little gem of a restaurant. Jade was a fantastic host and kept us entertained with pleasant conversation. The food was immaculate (compliments to the chef) and the atmosphere was relaxed. It was nice and cosy with the fire on.... More

Seven of us headed to The Inn at Loch Tummel for a birthday meal after the six hundred mile drive from home unsure what to expect as our last visit had found the Inn closed up, the previous owners having left. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent, well cooked and presented, a decent amount of choice too. The... More

Set off from Pitlochry and headed along the peaceful Foss road to Tummel Bridge and onto Strath Tummel to have a spot of lunch at the old coaching Inn -- Tummel Inn. We were shown to a table over looking the loch - gorgeous! Ordered wine and read the menu -- lots of great choices. Husband had the ham hock... More

My wife and I visited the Inn last Saturday on what was a lovely sunny day so we sat outside in a secure dog friendly lawned enclosure with fantastic panoramic views over the Loch. My wife had a superb Club sandwich , whilst I chose the Calamari in tempura batter - tender and succulent. Our friendly hosts then 'persuaded' us... More

Popped in for a couple of take away lattes and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were chatty and friendly and Mabel the beagle was sooo cute. The place had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble There are benches outside looking down onto the loch with a view to die for. Pity we didn't go for dinner... More

Went there for an evening meal whilst staying with friends. The restaurant food is European and prepared to a very high quality. There are also traditional Scottish fare available as well. The ambience of the restaurant is very cosy and the service impeccable. It's definitely worth the drive out from Pitlochry.

Disagree with previous contributors and looks like we were there on the same day but earlier on. Staff ( the owners) were very friendly and allowed us to eat outside as it was such a lovely day. Food was good and service couldn't be faulted. We intend to come back later on in the year

We had high hopes for our visit here having been looking for something a bit more refined for a few days. It started well, they are dog friendly and are in a beautiful location. The staff were generally welcoming and the dining room was pleasant. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. The waiter serving us seemed very inexperienced and managed... More

Thank you for your review. I am disappointed to see this was your experience. However in this instance I think it is important to point out that you should have said something at the time. TripAdvisor is a useful tool, however it appears to have pushed people to not communicate with staff that are serving them at the time of... More

Have visited this beautifully located inn for years and really loved it, staying there lots and eating and drinking there as often as we could. Had been since it was under new management and was not quite sure so decided to go back. Uncomfortable is how I could describe it but it doesn't quite do it! Staff seemed unhappy, miserable,...
