If you want really good Ethiopian food, as a matter of fact, if you want the best Ethiopian food in the Phoenix area, this is the place hands down. Great service and comfortable family atmosphere.

I've eaten here a few times, and loved it. While she was visiting she mentioned she had never eaten Ethiopian food, so this was great chance to take her before her flight home. It was nice to go here, knowing it would be represented well! She loved it. The food is always delicious and the service is friendly. The injera... More

Let me tell you, as much as my wife and I love Ethiopian cuisine, we waited far too long to finally try Lalibela’s. In the words of Andrew Zimmern – WOW! Terrific meal! My wife started with hot Yekemim Shai Tea and I had a St. George Beer – excellent. Being our first time, we decided to go for their... More

My wife and I ordered the #26 platter, and everything on it was delicious! Service was friendly, and we were seated immediately. Highly recommend!

An Ethiopian experience awaits. Joining friends and sharing a platter of tasty sample dishes and sopping up the juices with injera bread is my idea of a great day. Three of us did just that and nary a morsel of food remained. A sense of adventure helps - the newbie in the group dug in whole-heartedly. We plan to repeat... More

Had dinner with several friends who recommended the place. I was not familiar with Ethiopian food and it was fun to order all sorts of dishes which are then served on one huge platter. One is supposed to eat with one's hands using an Ethiopian flat bread that tastes like sourdough which is a lot of fun. (Knives and forks... More

First off, if you haven't tried Ethiopian food, it's amazing, whether you are a carnivore like myself, or a vegetarian like my wife,...like it spiced hot like me, or very mild like my wife,...you'll love Ethiopian. Cafe Lalibela doesn't disappoint. The food is fabulous and the service is great.

Had a wonderful lunch sampler platter. Great staff and great service. My cousin and I split the meal, and had plenty of leftovers for her to take to her husband for dinner! Would most definitely return.

Coming from a city with one Pan-African restaurant that serves Ethiopian food one day per week, I was excited to be in the Phoenix area, which boasts a couple of Ethiopian specific restaurants on Trip Advisor. After carefully reviewing each place, I decided I'd give Cafe Lalibela a try. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and we were immediately greeted... More

This establishment is very conveniently located within biking distance from ASU and the other offices around. The service is very pleasant, although the orders do take a while to get served onto your table. It is not very expensive, but not cheap either. The food is authentic, and by nature is not very spicy but is very flavorsome. The injera... More
