I haven't been here recently but when I worked in downtown Tempe, I ate lunch here weekly. Also a great place for dinner before a show at Gammage. A quaint little house turned into a restaurant that has been here for years and always busy....More

Best food we had during our two month stay in USA. If you're from Europe and miss food that is not drowned in cheese, this is the place. Just as good as a decent french restaurant.

Sitting in the courtyard under the trees sets the restaurant up for 5 stars. Food is just as good. Have been back more than once. One of the best in Tempe for sure.

We found this gem on Trip Advisor and had one of the best meals ever! We actually compared it to a special meal we shared in Europe last year and we were divided as to which one was better. We had to admit though, the...More

We have lived in Arizona for 23 years. Last night was probably our 4th or 5th time going to the House Of Tricks. Over that time it has consistently been excellent. We have never been disappointed. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I had...More

We had a wonderful dinner outside! Everything we ordered from the menu was simply delicious; focaccia starter; kale salad; beef tenderloin, & flourless cake!

We loved House of Tricks. My husband and I had sublime cocktails at the bar, which was stocked with some unexpected and favorite spirits. Anywhere we don't have to explain what a Black Manhattan is scores extra points with us! We then enjoyed the tasting...More

Skip the chopped kale salad and try the ahi tuna poke appetizer and bread pudding desert. Both are outstanding. The chopped kale salad is OK but lacked the flavors to put it in the same class as the other two dishes. This is my first...More

Dinner with 6 friends. Good food and nice staff. Both fish and meat where well prepared and presented. The limited number of choices is largely compensated by the accuracy and quality. We had an Italian prosecco as wine. Desserts home made. Price more than honest.
