I ate at the German Cafe last week. I saw the place on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives, and was really looking forward to something special. Shame on you Guy Fieri! I tried the rouladen, and was not the least bit impressed. The red cabbage was mediocre, and the dumpling like things that were served with it were extremely bland... More

We stopped in here based on the strength of the ratings and the restaurant absolutely lived up to the excellent reputation. There was a bit of a mix up in the kitchen and we both ended up with the jagerschnitzel (potato pancakes, spaetzle and the great tasting dumplings as sides) and it was one of the best I have ever... Genuine German food. Owner and wait staff that we met were all native Germans. Reservations are necessary. Restaurant is in a sort of industrial park area, but it's THE place to visit while in Sierra Vista.

Every so often we need our "fix": and German Cafe is the only restaurant that can satisfy! Normally we plan on dinner, but this time, lunchtime suited us better. Same delicious food, just a less of it under their specials,Hubby settled for the lunch with German potato salad but I sprang for the dinner size so I could enjoy the... More

While on business for two weeks in Sierra Vista, the choice of quality eating establishments was limited. I checked on TripAdvisor for recommendations, and the number one rated restaurant was The German Cafe. Although closed on Sunday and Monday, I went on Tuesday at 5:30 after work. When I arrived, all tables were taken in the small restaurant, except those... More

Genuine German food and warm friendly folks in small but "family" feeling place. Have eaten there several times.

This is a sure visit every time I am in Sierra Vista. The food is amazing, fresh ingredients and a piece of Germany in the Arizona desert! Highly recommend.

Found this place on the last night of a previous trip to Sierra Vista. First day back and brought more people. The onion gravy schnitzel is the best, I could eat it every night. Despite having pictures of beer on the walls, this is a dry establishment. My groups discussion even decided that the food is better without the distraction... More

My husband and I visited on a Saturday night. Three other tables were occupied and had ordered when we were seated (2 waitresses were working so they weren't overworked). We ordered the house special but did not receive any food, nor did any of the other tables. We left without eating after 20+ minutes because it was apparent no one... More
