Excellent Staff , Food and Venue. The place is quiet but roomy. Not our first visit, and wont be our last. Quality Lunch.

Great place for Sunday lunch. Floor to ceiling windows overlooking vast winery. Two of us had different risottos which were delicious. Not gluggy, big serving and lots of individual taste with vegetables and chicken. Another dish was linguini with chilli prawns. Prawns are Australian. Chilli...could have been gutsier. Drank the Russo semillon sav Blanc which was cool, light, crisp and fruity without sweetness. Staff were very attentive, sound knowledge of food and wine Will return.More
A strange location. Kitchen closes at 9pm which is odd for a Saturday. Food came quickly although for each course one meal delayed. Food was lacking flavours, I suspect pastas prepared which adds to quality of food. Overall would not eat here again.
The food was amazing. I had the calamari for starters and the lamb for mains. Food was presented well. New recipe mulled wine needed as it lacked the flavour of spices typical of this drink. Knowledge of wine by hostess was good. Service a bit...slow and need to review staffing operations. However, reinforce food was great even for dietary requirement (coeliac), venue very clean, table seats comfortable, no potholes upon entry and parking was easy. Very good experience.More
I chose Russo Estate Winery to celebrate my 70th birthday and it did not disappoint! The staff were welcoming and friendly, the meal was excellent. They set out two tables for my party guests away from others and we felt like we had the restaurant...to ourselves. Plus, the weather was perfect for family photos outside near the fountain.More
The restaurant was full of flies. They have no outdoor dining area to soak in the views which defeats the purpose of going for the “ scenery” When you drive into the carpark, no effort has been made to make it look inviting. It’s rather...bleak.More
Beautiful surroundings for work Xmas dinner but we ordered the wrong meal. Should’ve ordered the pasta as we were told it was nice. Our meals came out late because it was busy. It was like they ran out of food because we got very small...portions which were padded by potatoes. Tiny piece of fish for my partner and hardly any lamb on my plate. Not a $38 main course. Saganyaki entree was dry and overcooked. Wouldn’t go back.More
We recently attended this winery/restaurant. The food was very disappointing, and the wait for food excessive. To wait well over an hour for a very mediocre meal is very disappointing. The views from the winery are very good but a lot needs to be done...to bring the food and service up to a reasonable standard.More
Was looking for something else and saw this place on Google Maps ! SO I asked a friend if she would like to join me and check this place out she agreed. First off DON'T rush in the gate as the Pot wholes will bottom...your car out, ( when we where there anyway might be fix by now ) Car Park was a little hard to work out as it was only Roped out and gravelled. From here on the place, Service was great I tried to local Shiraz one was ' Nice ' & the other was NOT so ' Nice '. The meal was good the Lady friend didn't enjoyed her order to much, as she thought the meal was over done. We had a chat with the Manager about the place and he was quit knowledgeable about the place and told us about the clientele that he wonted coming to the place. About two weeks later I arranger a Dinner on a Friday night with four of us all of us enjoyed Dinner the place got quit full of people, would I recommend the place yes IF your looking for a place to go for a dinner with a group here would be worth a night out ..Once a month they have Live music nothing to loud more background kind of thing. If your looking to impress your Lady Guys take her here.. I saw that they also have overnighters, I thought it was a little high in price for what you get BUT if you want to have a Glass or two, or three and don't want to drive home best you find out first if you can spend the night. BUT it depends on what your looking for..More
The restaurant had a lovely ambiance, the staff were friendly and the view was pleasant. The food felt like pub meals at winery prices which was disappointing. I am glad I had the opportunity to experience this venue.
My daughter obviously forgot my attitude to this Winery / Restaurant when she gave my wife and I a $100 voucher for this place for Xmas. So 8 months later we decided to use it, expecting much of the same as the last time. I...wasn't surprised or disappointed. The menu is packed with "cheap to make" Pasta and Rice dishes that are outrageously overpriced, In fact EVERYTHING on the menu both food and drinks are overpriced. $60 for a steak the size of a 50 cent piece for starters, really! Agonizing over the menu as what to choose that would be of value, I gave up and ordered the Chicken breast and my wife ordered the Pork Ribs. We started with a Bruschetta entre that was 2 pieces of cold stale toast with some stuff on top. The mains arrived literally 5 minutes after the starter. My wife's Ribs consisted of more bones than meat served with a meager amount of coleslaw with a handful of "Macca's" fries. My chicken was dry and overcooked and seated on a mound of bland mashed potato with 2 tiny root vegetables I couldn't recognize and 2 slivers of asparagus. Both mains were over $30 each. I played it safe and had a beer as I have had tastings of this wineries wine and most would be lucky to make it to a Dan Murphy's "bargain bin". My wife had a 3rd of glass of very average Sauvignon Blanc, $11. Because we were still hungry we split a desert of sticky date pudding. Didn't disappoint, small square of "Sarah Lie" pudding served with a scoop of supermarket "no name" ice cream Don't know what happened to the "Cream" on the menu. Overall the experience from this "alleged" restaurant best be compared to a below average "PUB MEAL". Cost $135.00 Service was too quick, we were in and out in under an hour. When paying, the waitress asked me for some feedback, which I was very happy to supply. Dine at this place AT YOUR PERIL!!More
The restaurant in this family run vineyard is beautifully appointed with views to surrounding hills and vines, their is also outdoor dining available, the wine list is extensive as you would expect and the menu although not large was more than sufficient. There is capacity for...300 in the function rooms. There is also 9 luxury domes available to hire including 2 honeymoon domes.More
Love this place and have been coming here once a month we love it that much! Wine is excellent, staff are so lovely and prompt. Food is to die for especially the lamb and pork ribs! Yum! Booked a function here and well. The view...is beautiful overlooking the vines. Recommend to everyone to try for yourselves! Thank you !More
Food was lovely complements to the chief. but the Manager that was on Saturday lunch at 12pm was rude and not forthcoming on, when asked about splitting the bill he said no no no and that there is nothing else l can help you with...you need to ask your friends to help you pay , did no even consider telling me that you can pay by the table , meaning when you all go up and pay you can pay individually , he was absolutely disgraceful and l would not recommend this place simply because of him , he was terrible and not helpful at all and they forgot two peoples mealsMore
We were recommended this winery but unfortunately we were very disappointed with food. All of our meals were just blend with taste. Steak wasn't even cooked as requested, pork ribs were served like in the pub, actually the pub is serving much better and tastier....The only one think was nice, staff. They were very friendly. Do I go back there again?......NOMore
