We were staying at the Four Seasons and asked for an excellent recommendation close to the hotel. Within 2 miles or a short Uber ride unless you can get the Four Seasons to loan you one of their Mercedes - which we were able to...More

We shared several courses and appetizers and dessert were the best. Great views and lovely layout - hell and gone from anything though. Would try again.

We get to Scottsdale once a year and Sassi is always on our schedule. From the siting to the ambiance to the service and finally to the food this place is first class the whole way. The bad news is that they will be closing...More

It took us 45 minutes travel time to arrive but were we surprised at the size of the restaurant and the lovely ambience. Plenty of tables but there was plenty of room so that you did not feel crowded at all. I felt that there...More

It breaks my heart that Sassi is closing just as we discovered it. And I understand they are going to tear down the beautiful building to construct an assisted living facility. That whole area is being ruined. Nonetheless, absolutely delicious meal at Sassi to celebrate...More

What a great pity this delightful upscale restaurant and venue is closing next year. Styled similar to a Tuscan villa with cosy dining spaces and fabulous outdoor terrace/gardens. Food is Mediterranean cuisine with an emphasis on local produce and italian flavours.

This place is nothing short of phenomenal and not what I expected in Scottsdale. The pastor was made fresh daily and the sauce was as often as you can find it. This is a must on your foodie list.

I'm very impressed by the Sassi venue. They have an interesting menu. But, I was most impressed by the setting.. It reminds me of a small Italian village in the mountains. I understand the venue is a very popular place for weddings and wedding parties.

The food was good, not outstanding. Our server did a great job of selling the dishes and whilst nothing was bad I did feel they over promised and under delivered. This is a big restaurant and to be fair to them we did visit on...More

Had dinner with another couple. Used a "preferred dining card". Every restaurant on the card we have been to deducts not the most expensive item, but the next most expensive. They never deduct the least expensive item. Sassi decided that the items my wife and...More

No - the city of Scottsdale does not allow restaurants to provide a corking fee so you have to buy off the wine list

Description
Sassi is Scottsdale's nationally known destination for fine Italian dining, wine and special events. Located at the base of Pinnacle Peak. Sassi offers rustic, artisan style cuisine inspired by small towns in southern Italy. Sassi's villa style architecture, comfortable surroundings and rustic elegance are the perfect setting for a romantic dinner for two or a company event or wedding for up to 150 guests. Dine in one of four main dining rooms or on the patio (weather permitting), or reserve the private wine cellar for up to 14. Sassi features more than reasonably priced 150 wines from Italy and California to complement Chef Peter's flavorful cuisine. We purchase from numerous small farmers, Niman Ranch and other organic and natural farmers and producers. Photos, menus, information and staff biographies on our web site
