First time here , loved it . Very unique- you have to go down some stairs to get to the dining area . Had escargot (prepared perfectly) -delicious and not too chewy . Oysters - buttery melt in your mouth . Lobster was huge , fantastic! The servers will crack it for you . New York strip - great portion... More

My wife and I visited The Salt Cellar for Valentine's Day. Entering is spectacular as you descend 3 flights of stairs to enter the restaurant. Once seated you are in for a wonderful time. The food is outstanding, as they fly in fresh seafood. I had the Shrimp San Reno, and it was beyond excellent. Large shrimp served on perfectly... More

Went for dinner at the best kept secret in Phoenix. Always fun going down to the cellar to eat. Had the oysters. They were awesome. Had the stuffed lobster. Phenomenal. Amazing how much meat you get. King crab and filet were on point as well. And how can you argue with a place that cracks the shellfish for you. Service... More

Ok, I've had oyster shooters but here at happy hour they put a shot of booze in them and what a kicker. Always known for great happy hours, I would come the 1st time for this and sample at the bar for a fun evening. Wonderfully friendly happy staff and always a pleasure to go down down away from the... Stopped here after a business meeting. Friendly staff greeted me. Had a lovely glass of wine at the bar. Happy hour prices were quite reasonable. Oysters on the half shell were sweet and tender and their sauce was spiced nicely. Had the salmon Oscar special which came with a delicious salad. So good. Helpful waitstaff. No substitutions permitted so be... More

We had a group of 18 for a business meeting. The service was excellent for a group this size. We had a variety of appetizers and the were all good. I had the lobster which was great. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

It has to have been over 25 years since we have been to the Salt Celler but I wanted sea food for my birthday and we have a very picky eater with my grandson. After reviewing the menu my son determined the grandson would eat the king crab. Our family of six had a wonderful meal, I was able to... More

We were looking for a good restaurant to have dinner after golf. We heard some good things about The Salt Cellar and I went and read some reviews about the restaurant from Trip Advisor and other sources. In my opinion, the food was just average and not in the lofty status of a 4 or 5 star restaurant. The menu... More

We have been to Salt Cellar before but a while ago so it was nice visiting them again for our anniversary. Our server was very attentive, friendly and helpful and we enjoyed their filet mignon and salmon; excellent meals! We've always loved the intimate atmosphere and the underground environment makes it a unique experience. For dessert, try their salted caramel... More

Semi attentive staff, average food and way overpriced compared to other restaurants in the Valley. 3 entrees, shrimp cocktail, bowl of clam chowder, 1 bottled water, 1 sprite = $176.00 before tip. Never again!
