This small, unassuming restaurant serves authentic Mexican food. The space is on the drab side, but they attempt to enliven it with strung lights and repros of mountains and Mexican scenes. My carne asado had a large portion of tasty roasted meet, and wasn't overloaded with rice and refried beans as is usual for most Mexican places here. My wife's... More

My husband and I tend to go to the same restaurants over and over again after a while. Last night, I suggested we break that pattern of behavior and try something new. Boy, are we happy we did. Maya is a small restaurant, but we had no problem getting a table despite a number of customers already there (of course,... More

Ordered the shrimp tacos and they were nothing more than a few pale overcooked shrimp on a corn tortilla. Mayas- Mexican food is some of the worst I have ever been served. The restaurant is a dive. It may appeal to some but not at all authentic or original....I try to support small local family operated business but will not... More

This place is out of this world. First off, it's byob. Me and a couple friends came in with a 6 pack of corona. The server is always here and seems to always have the perfect timing. The food tastes like dishes out of a home in mexico. Its very authentic. The atmosphere in here is very mellow and limited... More

There green chili pork burrito is the finest my wife and I have had anywhere. Lots of tender chunks of pork, and the sauce is medium hit at most...just right. Service every time here has been friendly and and attentive.

We had passed by Maya's for several years when visiting Prescott without ever noticing. What a wonderful, authentic, delicious find. Everything is fresh, staff is friendly and helpful with recommendations. We stop in a couple a time a week.

great little hole in the wall, the staff is always friendly and fresh food. They make their own salsa and guacamole. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes they give you are large.

This is a hide away place that most locals know about and will share, if asked, otherwise it's our own little gem. "Have not had a bad meal or experience here" If you like green chili here is the hot spot, salsa and chips great ... shoot for anything on the menu and you'll not be disappointed

I read the great reviews so decided to try them for dinner. I had high hopes for an enjoyable meal so I am disappointed that I have to post this review. The salsa that went with the chips was very good. Otherwise our meal was terrible. Bad service - only 2 tables occupied but I had a hard time getting... More
