The primary reason you go to a restaurant is for the food, and Carolina's has very good Mexican food. I personally thought it was great. The place is packed for lunches, so others obviously think so, too, and have for many years. However, be advised that the place looks embarrassing bad. So bad that they must purposely be trying to... Tried this restaurant because I heard very good things about it but it really isn't all that hot. The place is tiny and gets packed super quickly. You wait forever for your food so your best bet is to just call in a order. The food I wouldn't say is the best because I had better plus it got my... More

The real deal! Very budget-friendly. Best tortillas I've ever had! How do such large, thin tortillas stay so strong yet tender? Ate here for lunch immediately upon our arrival at PHX airport and again for breakfast the next morning. Portions are plenty big but not overwhelming. Huge menu to choose from, and everything is very reasonably-priced. On both visits there... More

YUMMY!!!! I had the red pepper burrito, my 8yo twins had the cheese tortilla and my wife had cheese enchiladas. The food was soon good. We had our food to go because we wanted to eat outside. It was a beautiful evening so that was a good decision as the inside of the restaurant is not great.

I've wanted to try this place for years and I grabbed my opportunity! Don't expect any frills with the decor, but you CAN expect friendly service, reasonable prices, and excellent food.

If you're more about the food than atmosphere and amenities, definitely give Carolina's a try. My wife would never consider traveling thru Phoenix without stopping in at the original Carolina's. Our favorites are the hard shell beef tacos which are made with shredded beef and the Machaca burritos are another favorite. Carolina's sauce is also outstanding, with just the right... More

Had two different people at the airport tell us it was great. Got there and had my doubts - went in and bam friendly service, clean and amazing food!
