I was with some co-workers and we wanted to try some local fare. The hotel suggested thus restaurant and said it had fresh produce. When we got to the hotel everyone ordered from the bar menu, but me. My salad was excellent and I would definitely go back again if in town again. Worth a try!!!

I booked our table with Open Table and received a curt phone call from Blue Hound two days before the reservation from a Dina to please confirm ASAP. This has never happened before with an Open Table reservation. We were in town for a concert and the only reservation we could get 2+months out was for 2:30 pm. So, we... More

The Blue Hound is located one floor up from the lobby of the Hotel Palomar. It's done is a sort of old school rustic theme but nothing about the food is rustic. I think because the uptown, central and downtown Phoenix area is exploding with so many new trendy restaurants, some of the great ones that have stood the test... More

It's the whole package. Great food, staff solid layout. The menu was a bit eclectic and they apparently have some unusual items I did not get to try. Shrimp & Grits with Andouille sausage, tomatoes, green onions and a few other tidbits.

Thi is my second visit to Blue Hound and I loved it as much as the first. They let us choose our table, next to huge windows overlooking the City of Phoenix Christmas Tree and ice skating rink! How fun. Wish we had been there at night to see the lights. I had the Crab Cake sandwich and Corn Grits... More

We started with a nice bottle of wine from a good list and some excellent appetizers. We had a variety of entrees at our table, which all looked good, and I really liked my pork chop. It was tender, tasty, and over a nice set of sides. We skipped desserts, but they looked very tempting. The atmosphere was contemporary, and... More

Blue Hound has an eclectic, creative menu full of diverse choices - so good for dates, business meals, etc. - something for everyone. We had a large group so got to try a large array of appetizers and dishes (sharing is caring) and everything was superb. For starters we had the following: Corn Grit Fries Smoked bacon, white cheddar, pomodoro... More

My husband and I dined here prior to attending a show at the symphony. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly greeted and immediately seated at a nice table by the window. Our server was fantastic. He was friendly and stayed on top of things from start to finish. This restaurant is also very good at making... More

Had a business diner with about 30 people. Not recommended for this type diner. Room was very loud. Was hard to hear person next to you talk. Food was ok I guess. This is one of those trying to hard to be different type of restaurants. Had the flat iron fillet. It was cooked well but was ruined when they... More

From the time we entered their doors to the time we left, we were greeted with smiles, excellent service and surprisingly delicious food! Very interesting layout from the tables in their lobby, to the comfortable semi circle leatherbound seating inside. We even got a great view of the World Series on the TV above the bar. Back to the food... More
