We were visiting the museum and stopped for lunch. We had 1 burger, 2 grilled chicken sandwiches and 3 bottled sodas. The total cost was over $60. The food was delicious but I'm not sure it was worth $60. Had it been a regular restaurant, we wouldn't have eaten there for those prices but a museum has a captive clientele.... More

In Musical Instrument Museum. This was our second visit to museum and cafe. Too be honest, I was looking forward as much to the food as the museum. If the weather is nice the patio is a very pleasant place to eat. If your want to save leftovers (or in our case the nice blue bottle my drink came in... More

My husband and I planned to eat lunch at Cafe Allegro based on TA reviews and the timing of our MIM visit, and we really enjoyed our meals. We thought the selections covered the range of possible interests (soup, salads, sandwiches, grill items, "grab & go", coffee bar and wine & beer) and we were pleased with the personal service... My wife, son and I had lunch at Cafe Allegro while touring MIM. My wife had a veggie burger on a prior visit and was raving about it. Our son and she had the veggie burger and were disappointed. She said it was not as delicious as the prior time. I enjoyed the local AZ salad which was made with... More

Museum proper is worth at least a day's visit, which means the need to stop and refuel. Easily done here. Good salads, along with lots of hot choices. As with the rest of the museum, very clean, very attractive. Very friendly staff. Surprisingly reasonable prices.

Somewhat surprised to fine such a nice restaurant in a museum as most museums think that food is an afterthought. Well displayed, very good service and plenty of seating both inside and on a patio, We sat on the patio and recommend it over inside. The only food for thought ( pun intended ) is the prices are a tad... More

This was my second visit to the museum while visiting from out of town. First time was Easter Sunday when they first opened, fabulous Easter specials that day. They do a good job. This time the grill chef - who you order directly from - was a bit too glib, but he makes an excellent burger. That said, I'm reserving... More

It is cafeteria (or food island) style restaurant in which you go through a line. The menu is somewhat limited in choices each day, but we found plenty of delicious vegetarian food. We asked to have the salad of the day without the chicken and we got lots of extra vegetables instead. The servers were quite friendly and helpful.

While visiting the Musical Instrument Museum we were able to get lunch at the Allegro Cafe. It was Canadian weekend and they were featuring special dishes from the country! Great idea! The poutine was excellent!!

The food is excellent, and the ingredients fresh. The restaurant faces the courtyard, which gives you the impression you are eating outside. The tables are separated by some distance so you feel you have privacy. The restaurant is clean and the presentation of the food shows attention to detail. Finally, food service quantities are generous.
