The restaurant is in a small house, I like the homey feeling about it. The servers were nice and attentive. Food though was another story, it wasnt bad. But it wasnt good enough to worth the price they charged. They want to be NoBu but...More

This is a special place with food prepared at a very high level. The signature dish is grapefruit and hamachi served on four soup spoons is extraordinary. The soft shell crab salad has the right amount of citrus tang and is beautifully composed. The desert...More

The most amazing food. A foodies paradise. He is a genius. Service the best. Presentations awesome. Only drawback in summer is that there is no AC only fans since the building is a historic house but the food more than makes up for that.

Atmosphere was horrible. Jammed in a dingy room with stale air. The table next to us were nearly rubbing elbows. Food was mediocre and priced like the REAL Nobu. I've been to Nobu several times and was dying for even a close comparison, but NOOOOOO!...More

Had the Tasting menu. 80$ really well spent. Beautiful dishes to both look at and taste :) It is not a real traditional japanese cusine but more a modern japanese fusion. Nevertheless excellent.

There are great meals and then there are special meals. This was a special meal. What made it special? Chef Nobuo sources the finest ingredients both locally and from Japan. For example, we dined on a whole guinea fowl expertly prepared. It was the most...More

The tab can add up quickly, but the menu is creative! I would personally prefer more sushi selections and a bit more of a Japanese atmosphere.

Decent food in a nice setting. However, portions are ridiculously small. Wouldn't expect to have to go to a drive thru after spending a $100 a person.

This tiny restaurant located in downtown Phoenix is a real gem! As a local and a gourmet, I love to discover new spots but I'm always coming back to Nobuo. You have to go for his tasting menus: incredibly fresh fish, unbelievable preparations, from start...More

last minute decision.... ended up landing at Phoenix airport during the Final 4 and opening day for baseball. Fortunately everyone was attending those events and we had Heritage Square to ourselves. Decided to enjoy lunch outdoors in their patio area. Don't be decieved by outwards...More

Refined Asian-style teahouse by day, funky izakaya by night: Nobuo at Teeter House reflects the fascinating duality of Nobuo Fukuda.

The setting — a turn-of-the-century, wood-floored bungalow, awash in earth tones — emulates the relaxed intimacy of Japan’s izakaya, where friends and business associates gather to eat Japanese-style tapas, drink beer and have fun. Nobuo elevates the custom while staying true to its low brow roots, offering rustic Japanese classics with modern American inflections.

During the day, a short lunch menu is offered, as are exotic, aromatic teas, meant to be sipped and savored over quiet conversation.

In the evening, Nobuo creates"5-Star" cuisine, bringing a Western sensibility to Japanese sushi traditions while combining seasonal ingredients in exciting, inventive ways.
