Lovely restaurant with amazing staff and great food. They made us feel very welcome and were so accommodating about the dietary requirements in our group (peanut and gluten free). Great atmosphere, would definitely recommend.

My husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying Paddles recently which embodies a sense of community and warmth. It's not just a place to eat; it's a place together with loved ones, celebrate special occasions, and create lasting memories. In a world where dining...out can sometimes feel impersonal, Paddles stands as a beacon of hospitality, where food is more than just sustenance—it's an expression of love, tradition, and culture. Whether you're a local or a visitor passing through Apia, a meal at Paddles is a journey to Italy without ever leaving Samoa. We cant wait to come back. Massive thanks Gio & Roy for your care and looking after us. Buon appetito!More

Excellent wait staff who are very friendly. The owner/front-of-house has excellent front-of-house skills and is naturally welcoming. My friend is partly disabled and went out of their way to assist and welcome us. The food is very nice, albeit a bit pricey but worth it....My risotto dish could have done with a bit more seasoning or flavour but that's my personal preference and was cooked well. The dessert Chocolato was rich and decadent and I would recommend this as a way to finish off the meal. One criticism is that it is an Italian restaurant but they don't serve coffee here. The atmosphere is excellent with a view out to the bay, with a precious little cat who lazed on the window ledge throughout my visit unfazed by the gushing customers wanting a pat. Pretty much sums up the Samoan experience. Would highly recommend dining here.More

Very poor for the prices they offer. Really is below par. Had the lasagne and it was so cooked in dry tomato canned pasta it gave me an acid attack and severe indigestion. Horrible on all facets. Place was hot and over crowded and noisy....Wines and drinks menu expensive for what it worth as this is not Sydney or New York. Paddle is average. More par then high end. Samoa needs more high end restaurants and not the BS The Paddle and it's owners try to portray. I see after two bad complains on trip advisor you all of a sudden have 6 amazing reviews on one go. Lol. Come on guys lol lol poor food and service. Average.More

We went to Paddles as it was recommended to us by some friends from NZ, and it was our first trip holiday to Samoa. We stayed on the south coast at Sinalei which was nice although many issues but that review is for later. For...Paddles we found the food over priced for samoan standards, Paddles is more 1 star compared to what you would find in Auckland or Sydney. It really is a 1 STAR restaurant. Food was bland, very bad, dry and the pastas were cooked on Tim tomato sauce, not made home tomato sauce for the pastas as they say thay are. 100% can tomato sauce they use 100% of the time for all their pastas and lasagnes. There are not enough fresh tomatoes in Samoa so what ever they tell you about Fresh Tomato sauces for their pastas is BS AND A LIE. Food bland for an Italian Restaurant and all the pasta is what you buy in a supermarket. The pasta is not fresh but bought from the supermarket. I wish these people who claim to be Italians would be honest and tell the truth about the pasta being from the supermarkets and also the pasta sauce being canned tomatoes. We found them annoying especially the maitre d, Food below 2 star and serviced 2 star!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!More

If you ever get sick of eating heavy samoan food (i do lol), Paddles is your go-to! Wouldn’t say I’ve visited every restaurant on the island but it’s hands down one of the best I’ve been to. Was always greeted by boss man himself, and...I love that it’s a family owned restaurant; you can tell they take pride in their work. The food and drinks are amazing, as well as the attentive waiters & staff. It is however, a little in the pricey range but the portions are definitely worth it! I’ve tried to save myself for dessert but have failed every time because the food is too damn filling! Sunset dinners by the seawall are the best kind of dinners. Otherwise, service is wonderful and it’s always a pleasure dining in. Malo le galue! Faafetai lavaMore

I recently dined at Paddles with a couple of friends and I thought that the service was exemplary. The Rossi family are known on island for their kindness and hospitality and Gio really exemplifies this, as front of house. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed...the menu from the delicious starters (namely Mama Rossi’s oka *chefs kiss* and the gnocchi) to my usual main meal choice of the tuna niçoise salad. I’ve had this meal many a time and the standard has never changed hence why I always crave it whenever I’m back at Paddles. My mouth is watering as I write this so you bet I’m already planning my next trip back to see Gio & the Rossi family. Oh, and the cocktails & mocktails (for your virtuous friends) are scrumptious too. Highly recommend!More

MUST VISIT!! When you're looking up places to go and things to do in Samoa, Paddles Restaurant is definitely a "MUST DO". The Restaurant is family run, and they definitely make you feel like part of the family..Gio, Mama & Papa Rossi, and all the...staff are super attentive and accommodating every time we go there. We were there as a big family group and I had the oka (fresh fish in coconut cream) as entre, and the steak scaloppine as my main. Delicious fresh fish for the oka - very refreshing in this hot climate. The beef was tender, well seasoned, accompanied by delicious local veges. The portions are very generous, didn't have room for dessert, and I love dessert so that's saying something. Paddles Restaurant is not just a place to eat, it's an experience and a "must visit". Big thanks to the Rossi family for creating such a welcoming environment where you are treated like a member of the family, and the food is absolutely amazing!More

Paddles Restaurant in Apia, Samoa, is a gem that combines great food, excellent service, and a stunning view of the Apia Harbour. Gio and his amazing staff always go out of their way to create a warm and welcoming dinning experience for all their patrons,...making every visit memorable. The family-friendly atmosphere is perfect for all occasions, and is why Paddles is a favourite spot for my family to dine. My favourite dish at Paddles is hands down, Mama Rossi’s Oka, which is a Samoan traditional dish served with delicious taro wedges. I have ordered this dish for years, and haven’t found a better Oka dish anywhere else. Faafetai lava Gio & Paddles restaurant for the lovely dinning experience we had last week. Always guaranteed to be a great evening when we dine at Paddles. Can’t wait to go back!More

This is perhaps one of the more upscale restaurants in Samoa and is always worth a visit when you're looking to celebrate something special. Gio, your host, reflects the best of Samoan hospitality (even though this is a mostly Italian restaurant). His warmth and genuine...joy in making sure you have a fantastic evening is really what sets this place apart. It is not an exaggeration to say that Gio and his team really sets the bar high for Samoa's customer service. I'm boring and often opt for the steak or pork belly which is always delicious! And while most of the menu is great, it's not a Paddles experience if you don't get their Mama Rossi's oka -- always hits the spot, every time. When its extra busy, the food can take a little long to come out, however when you're with friends/family the time passes quickly when you're sampling their wonderful selection of wines or cocktails on offer. My only real complaint is the parking, which is always a bit of a hassle to find directly infront of the restaurant when its packed. Often you'll have to park a little further down across the street especially if you're having a late dinner. Overall, fantastic service, food and ambience! Always lovely to visit. Highly recommend.More

Paddles is back after a short break for renovations. As always, the food and customer service are among the best in the country. The menu has a few new items and everything we ordered was delicious. They have pretty good vegetarian options, in addition to...the fish and meat classics. We always order a variety of appetizers as we can't get enough. The cocktails are delicious, recommend trying their many unique flavors. The staff are very pleasant and kind. It's a family run business. They always make you feel welcome. Great atmosphere, great for long conversations with family and friends. Thanks for your amazing service! Will definitely be back soonMore
