The restaurant is remarkable for its location. Right on the lake and the views from the windows are heart warming. So go before sunset not to miss this!! The food is good (beef excellent! Seafood stew a bit overdone). Service excellent. Price- low! The only thing I would change is the light in the restaurant. Too much. Would make it... More

Las Dunas is in the middle of nowhere, and when we went there (Feb 2012), the road out to the guest house and hotel wasn't even finished yet. However, it is well worth the cab ride out there. The food was extremely well presented, delicious, and incredibly cheap - I'm sure the prices will rise to match the rest of... More

Ordered green salad to start and was surprised by fanciful presentation. Seafood stew was outstanding and the pork roast (pizza style ) was tasty and more than I could eat. Service was great as was the view. Vert quiet atmosphere with majority of guests being those staying at the hotel.

This is a wonderful place to go for dinner with amazing views of the lake. The lemon crusted chicken is delicious and so is the salmon omelet. We also really liked the beef. It's a little out of the way, you will want to take a car or taxi but it is well worth it.

We ate there twice for dinner and both experiences were amazing. We tried the lamb stew and seafood stew. Both had great taste. My husband had the herb crusted chicken and the steak. Also very good! The homemade custard is a must!

It was the best reatsaurant we have been in El Calafate. Prices are excellent in comparassion with downtown's restaurants, service was EXTRAORDINARY and one of the best view's in town. Highly recommendable! (in order to access to this restaurant you might need to take a taxi and to come back, people from the restaurant will kindly ask you for a... More

Nice restaurant right next to a turquoise lake. Food was nicely presented and pretty good. Portions could have been a bit larger. Worth trying just for the view. Overall the food was better than what i tried on the main street. You will need a car to get there as it's about 2km out of town.

I stayed at Las Dunas hotel (close to Laguna Nimez, a bird sanctuary) which features a onsite restaurant, which is about about a 12 peso taxi ride from downtown El Calafate. Quiet restaurant as the patrons are mostly from the hotel. My husband and I enjoyed this restaurant the most after trying some of the restaurants on the main drag... More
