We had a wonderful lesson on the making of artisanal beers followed by lunch and a beer tasting. It was a really fun morning!

It is great fun to hear Gilbert tell his story in his little micro-brewery and to sample the beers from light to dark. Food is also tastily satisfactory, and the pub has a homey feeling. Do not write it off. We ran into cyclists stopping there for sustenance and enjoying the lamb stew and a brew. Gilbert is going places;... More

We were here as a stop on a two week group tour. Tommy, the brewer, was fun to listen to but his beer isn't that great. We also ate here and the food was OK but not worth a second visit.

Stopped here as part of an afternoon bus tour. Great craft beers and tasting platter of smoked local produce. We tried 3 craft beers. The stout was my favorite. Worth a visit.

We visited Gilbert's with our tour group for lunch and a tour of Tommy's micro brewery. Tommy the Brewer gave a fun and enlightening presentation of the history of the place as well as the making of the beer. We then had a pleasant lunch of local appetisers, goulash with gnocchi followed by ice cream. We tasted 3 beers including... More

We really enjoyed the "ski lodge" atmosphere that was very fun and welcoming. Both indoor and outdoor seating were available. The food seemed simple but was quite delicious. The beer wasn't incredible, but it was a major step up from something like Quilmes. We also had an opportunity to meet with one of the brewers about the brewery process which... More

The Circuito Chico in the Lake District can get chilly. So what a treat it was to encounter the log style Gilbert's after a curve in the road. Filled with warmth, artisanal beer, hearty plates of Lake Trout (Truche) and potatoes among other delights, Gilbert's offered interesting memorabilia amid its decor, with satisfaction at excellent prices.

Gilbert's is rustic, extremely relaxed little resto-bar with their own beer and the kind of haphazard-kitsch setting you just can't create on purpose. A must-stop on the circuito chico!

We order the hamburger with cheese and bacon and it was absolutely disaster! Also the service was not very good. I will not recommended any one to go there ever.
