We very much liked the Don Julio restaurant. Atmosphere is very vibrant and we liked as weil the relaxed area the restaurant is located. Go for the buffalo cheese, the beef and the Malbec. Best combination.

Ok so... this is a serious steak experience, and wine pairing too, make sure you are rady, and not too full from lunch, going later is better if you can, getting a booking is not easy tho

I went there with my other three friends and we all ordered different plates. Mine was lamb and it was out of this world! It was so juicy and tasted so good with great aroma. The sweet potato puree was also amazing. It came in quite a big portion so we ordered just this one side dish to share.

having had our first experiencing at la cabrera - you get significantly more for your money than at don julio - also food was far too salty - almost unpalatable. Lomo in le cabrera = 4 fillet steaks versus don julio 1 fillet - same price?! wouldn't recommend

My husband had designated Don Julio as a must-try, so we headed over for our first dinner in Buenos Aires. We did not have a reservation and so ended up waiting about 30 minutes outdoors, but . . . they had complimentary sparkling wine! It really got our relationship off on the right foot. We were eventually seated on an... More

Many good meals here. Fine service and good food. They do take a few reservations so pres them a bit when they say no reservations possible.

Located in Palermo soho, don julio is a gentrified parrilla given the quantity of foreign visitors. The food is good but a bit overpriced

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
