My wife and I met a friend for dinner here. The restaurant was close to our hotel and well located. The interior was nice Spanish decor. The menu had lots to choose from. The service was good but we thought it was a bit pricey for local standards. The food was satisfactory. If you come with moderate expectations, you likely... More

We scheduled a family holiday meal there for 10 adults and 3 children. We were treated to excellent service and everyone was happy with their meal. My beef was tender and tasty as was my wife's pork tenderloin. My only disappointment was the lack of an English menu and a wait staff with limited language skills. Fortunately our Argentinian family... More

Had a great experience here. Staff were friendly and skilled. Decor was really nice. Great selection, great presentation and hot and Flavors full. Not overpriced for city. With lots of locals. Always a good sign.

With so many good restaurants around there is no good reason to pay more to come here. Unless you are mad for spanish dishes.

I visited this restaurant after having had several meals at the originals in Madrid. Different as it is not as popular as the Spanish branches, but offering the same high quality in all meals. I definitely recommend it if you want to spend a fairly high part of your monthly budget for fun. The meal and environment make it worth... More

I love this place, I've been here twice and the service is excellent, the wait staff is very attentive and the food is very good. I was intrigued by the name, translated it means the The Museum of Ham and you got to love that. The decor is really nice with Spanish hams hanging all over the place. I would... More

Nice interior, good service. Very expensive for average to poor quality food. The Jamon is very good. The food I ordered was overly salty. Overall not worth the money.

Our party of four came here on a Monday afternoon at 1230 for lunch, and we really enjoyed the food and the service. I ordered arroz con pollo which was excellent; we even brought food home. Other people in our party ordered other pollo plates, and another person ordered a salad. The waiter gave her some options for dressing and... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
