We were in search of authentic Empanadas, and this place certainly delivered. Between 4 of us we tried almost every kind they had, and the crowd favorites were the corn and cheese, and the margarita. Perfect mid-day snack with an ice-cold Quilmes beer!

We started with one type of each empenanda. But don't ever stop with these delicious appetizers. We had bife amilanesa and tamales and salad and everything was delicious!

Visiting Buenos Aires regularly, we always eat empanadas at this restaurant... they are excellent value and the best in the city, not only to eat in the restaurant but to take out and eat in the nearby parks or when travelling.

We had a week in BA and this was our fav family restaurant. It opens at 7pm which certainly helps with kids. The waiter was great given our poor attempts at Spanish. Kids at empanadas and spaghetti bolognese which were awesome. Pastas are very large...More

I’m afraid this place didn’t work for me. It seemed like a tourist trap, which would have been OK if the food was good. I found the empanadas over salted yet bland, and the lentil stew OK but not as interesting as it should have...More

El Sanjuanino is an unpretentious and reasonably cheap restaurant that will give you a good feeling for classic food in Buenos Aires. They have excellent empanadas both baked and fried, decent salads and , while I did not have a steak, decent meat. Good selection...More

I don't know how is the place but we ordered on the phone a dozen of empanadas. They delivered one hour and a half later and we were starving! I do not recommend the delivery option!

It would be best if you make reservations, as the place is not that big and tourists flock to taste their empanadas
