Second visit of the restaurant ordering fish this time.....excellent and outstanding!!! I highly recommend this place to enjoy fresh and tasty fish from a "cuisine" at least one level better than most of other Portuguese restaurants.

The fresh sea fish consisted of a 4 day old mackerel and an equally old fish farm sea-bass sold at 45.00 Euro/Kg!! Nice venue deserving an honest management.

It was a great meal in a beautiful location. Our fish, robalo aka sea bass aka branzino was cooked to perfection and accompanied by tasty veggies and a salad. Chef Carla came to serve us. The fish was outstanding. The only problem was the service that was slow and the price... 72 euros without appetizers... But the fish was so... More

We first visited this restaurant when it was opened about three years ago. It was an attractive location but I would agree that it was overpriced and tried too hard. Having enjoyed our stay in this area of Portugal I was pleased to revisit Tomar. We decided to give Calca Perra another try. Despite the fact we were early diners... More

We were greeted by a very unenthusiastic waiter who obviously didn't want to be there .... Not given menus and asked if we wanted fish or meat ... No starter offered ... We chose the 'fish' which was salmon and a tuna. For wine we asked for the house red to be told they had ran out ! ... Offered... More

A local recommended this place and we were not disappointed with our choice. I had fresh whole seabass and my partner fresh tuna steak...both fish were very fresh and cooked to perfection. I would go back again next time we are in the area. We have been on a 6 week tour of Portugal and good food has been hard... More

One of the best meals I had during my three week visit to Portugal. Chef Carla was GREAT - not only her food (which was delicious!) but her personality. I went with all her recommendations and she was PERFECT. Mussels to start. Crusted salmon entree. Molten chocolate cake tower for dessert. Wine with it all. Frozen aperitif to close it... More

An elegant deco and a beautiful garden. However, chairs were not clean properly and given the amount of pigeons in the city it is an issue to be addressed. Payment with cards was not available and we were informed only at the end of our meal. Service needs to improve as well for this type of restaurant

We ate here on a Sunday evening so it was quiet - the setting with a lovely garden was charming and the host was absolutely lovely although she didn't speak much English, explained the options and we had one of the best dining experiences in our trip to Portugal with excellent fresh fish and local white wine.

Impressive at first sight, yet the food a bit pretensious. Over priced for the food quantity and quality.
