Absolutely delicious seafood and fish. The cataplana with prawns and clams was the best I’ve ever had! Our waitress was lovely, very friendly and helpful, although the service was a little slow as she needed some more help as the terrace was full and she...was alone. Had a warm and hearty lunch on a cold, dreary day. The staff were all friendly and helpful with attentive service. Portions were generous and the fish was fresh. Dessert was a highlight with the local biscuit cake. Very affordable prices for the Algarve on...a strip where most of the restaurants are over-priced. Ask your server what is fresh and delicious or just pick from the daily specials.More
Fresh traditional and very tasteful food with the best prices that I have found so far in this town.
After we had already visited this restaurant earlier that week, this evening it was very crowded, many Portugees families had something to celebrate. The staff was very buzy but they managed very well. Especially the waitress originally from Cabo Verde was very good and friendly....The food was very good, fresh fish, good cataplana. We had a wonderfull evening again.More
We visited in Sept, pre-booked as large group. Perhaps that was why it wasn't a very good experience overall. Service was ok but there were long delays with the food. When it arrived it was generally ok too for some of the group. My swordfish...however was very overcooked (I've had good swordfish elsewhere so know what it should be). My friend had ordered veal and when it arrived it was what we'd call instead a very large beef steak. That would still have been ok though, other than it was also overcooked and so tough as to be completely inedible. The waiter didn't seem surprised. Yes, the place is popular but we won't be going back.More
A friend of mine suggest me to go and it was a good experience. Very fresh fish. I strongly suggest to take a cataplana( is for 2 person ) is between 28-33€ but you'll be very satisfied. We choose Cataplana Marisco (with sea food) was...really good. Definitely I recommend this restaurant and try to book in advance because is always full.More
Every time i come to Algarve i have to eat a cataplana here. So, so, so good! Service is great and the price very reazonable. I only remember to took a pic after eating 😁! Bad service, the oysters were absolutely not fresh, the French fries were cooked last week and the fish was not fresh whatsoever. Avoid at all costs
cataplana here is excellent. it is huge portion, which can easily feed 3 pax. the indoors decor is rather tired and dated,so if you are there during summer, try to make a reservation for outdoor table.
