I’ve been here quite a few times, great value for money! The spuds are amazing!! And service is always good, worth a visit. Parking is a bit awkward at night with the self-appointed car guards, but this is a general problem in town.

The seating outside is something like a biergarten but without the noise and stress. Also, its got efficient and friendly service and good music 😀 Perfect to have a drink only and/or a meal especially on a warm day or to cool off after it.

This restaurant has a very relaxed, informal feel. Outdoors and indoors areas. The food is great and it has a cosy little bar area. There are specials most days.

Stopped here starving after 54km of biking and the food did not disappoint. Had burgers and a baked Camembert cheese. Delicious. This place has some great classic pub foods and does them very well. Burgers were a bit underdone but I like it that way, if you don't, just make sure they give it a bit of a longer cook.

Randomly chosen, yet what value for money! Very cozy setting. The meals are very well priced and food well portioned(one of the best t bone steaks I've ever had). it was quite a chilly night, yet there was sufficient heating outside. The tumble dryer inner barrel that was converted to raised fire place is a brilliant idea.

We were recommended this place (although the recommendation goes back a year). We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food even though the restaurant was not full. Two of our group both had to send their steaks back. One steak was a slab of fat, the other tasted like candle wax. Waiter brought another steak but was ice... More

Just good pub food but in a lovely chilled setting and friendly hosts. We stumbled in here very late Saturday afternoon but there was no problem getting us food quickly and with a smile

My son and I enjoyed supper at this established restaurant. He enjoyed an ostrich burger and I had the pasta with diced ostrich steak. We were very impressed with the service and the setting. It was very cold that night and the staff had real wood burning fires which added the warmth and ambiance creating just that extra special setting.... More
