What an outstanding meal with great beer and wine served here. In the old days this used to be a barn which has now been converted into a pub........it is the smallest pub / tavern in South Africa. The atmosphere is cosy, casual and relaxed :-) The pub is frequented by travelers from many countries as was evident to us... More

The Bell is situated behind the the Belvidere Manor hotel and is owned by the hotel. They have tables inside and out and whilst it is fairly small, that just adds to the character. Very friendly staff and really good food.

Popped in on our way back from Brenton on Sea for a light Lunch, can only say so pleased we did. Had a lovely leisurely lunch of a Ploughmans and a Cob Salad served by Jeffrey, who by the way, has the biggest smile I have ever seen, and so courteous. Thank you for making my day. Loved The Bell.

Great spot and great food (including Yorkshire puddings) for Sunday lunch. Get there early as no bookings. Good solid English type pub grub - pies look great too.

Great wee pub with a very pleasant atmosphere. We go there every year as a lunch time treat. Not to be missed if you want a quite lunch in a relax environment. You can then go and visit the ancient church and read about the history of the area.

This pub was recommended to us and we certainly weren't disappointed. The menu has an excellent range of pub food at very reasonable prices. The dishes we chose (chicken pot pie and liver, bacon and onions) were perfectly cooked and the portions more than enough (especially the pie which was huge!). Good service and nice beer - what more could... More

We arrived too late for lunch which others described as superb. We chose the chicken and mushroom pie and a burger with mushrooms instead of the bun. Brilliant pub food and superb Mitchell's beer. Bell Tavern is in a lovely calm spot. The service was friendly and swift. Overall I would wholeheartedly recommend the Bell. Earlier next time to get... More
