As a frequent traveller to Cape Town we are always on the look out for a good restaurant, so we tried The Sea Palace, what an experience, I thought we were being filmed on You Tube for a comendy show. Started with the wine, order a bottle of white, waiter came back, sorry Sir we don't have it, ok do... More

Had such a mind blowing dinner in sea palace.. now I know where I belong (definitely will come back).. Let me not talk about the food (was so surprising) .. very friendly service with a young good looking guy from somewhere in Africa (he is so cool, my friend said) . We had some sweet sour prawn, sizzling calamari, beef,... More

The food were cooked very well. We lobster and ostrich were tender. However the service was slow. They didn't even change our plates, which was only a saucer. Maybe because the staff was under manned. Good location too.

Arrived around 7pm to find other couple in the restaurant. Ordered entres which came reasonably quick. After waiting over an hour for our mains we asked the waitress how long we must wait, she said 5-10 minutes. After 10 minutes we told staff this was terrible as 2 large groups of asians arrived, ate and left as well as 3... More

This is a good place to visit for great Chinese in a Chinese environment. It is at it's best when full of tourists from the Orient. The noise and tempo can be such fun. Not sure how you determine exactly who all will be there of an evening... perhaps a phone call ahead of time could help. Won-ton soup is... More

The food was extremely bland. You'd find more flavour in a pack of 2 minute noodles without the flavour packs. The sizzling chicken was served on a plate with no accompaniments other than a spoon. The chicken chow mein tasted gooey and bland and the service was average at best. Don't waste your time or your money.

The service was very good from a young helpful Chinese girl that was actually embarrassed herself by the quality of the food. It was terrible.

How this restaurant is still surviving is beyond me, if you want to know how bad Chinese food taste like then this is one place you cannot miss. The boss of the restaurant might have a jacket with many buttons but that surely does not help in making the food better at this Chinese restaurant. Time to wake up SEA... More

Simply did not live up to expectation! My wife and I went out for dinner to have a Chinese experience in town... and what we experienced was a shame. The atmosphere was terrible! Wall papered walls pealing off (very distasteful). Toilets are dirty...Like those public toilets at the train station. The Chicken dish had a peace of fish meat in... More

Fried wontons were awful....almost burnt. The soy sauce was the saltiest we've ever tasted. Thai beef red curry was more like fatty beef stew ...... brown and watery. We had one spoonful of curry and left the rest for the manager to eat, who weren't interested in our complaints. Left the place within half hour of getting there, but still... More
