Drum playing, by the guests, under instruction from staff and a taster spread of dishes from all over Africa. What a great idea! Its an interesting building set over several levels, visually linked, which adds to the atmosphere. The toilets are a bit of a...More

I was feeling myself like in an African Las Vegas Show. Great feast with Pan African food and very qualitative genuine live music and dance situated in Gold. Outside the place looks abandoned, but do not be worried. Face painting is a great value! We...More

If you want a tourist trap while in Cape Town, then come to Gold Restaurant. I came here in a very large group (>100) and was very disappointed in the overall experience. Despite being built for large groups, the place can’t seem to handle them....More

Really liked this touristic restaurant. Tasted a lot of tasty african dishes while a splendid show entertained us with dancing and singing. The friendly waiters were dressed in colourful african dresses.

I not too much into food and entertainment experiences. That being said the food and service were good. The entertainment was very vibrant and exciting. Would have preferred to get some of the legendary flavored lamb. Maybe next time.

What a delightful place! The food is no more than average although it is fun to have 14 courses from around Africa. But the African music and dancing is fab. Be prepared to get up and get involved, it’s all part of the experience
