This is an absolute Hidden Gem!
We have now been here twice, and will make it a regular stop!
From the moment you arrive, you are greeted warmly by friendly and smiling staff! They introduce themselves and wish you a pleasant experience.
The menu comprises of FRESH and largely locally sourced produce. Personally I prefer a restaurant that has a smaller menu with a large variety than a large menu with a large variety, because the latter always makes me question the freshness of the produce. This is not the case with The Harvest House.
Danni and Liam pride themselves on only serving the freshest produce. Baking their own breads, making their own patties, and of course their little herb garden is a wonderful addition to the setting.
On our first visit, we had the Salmon and Scrambled Egg Bagels - and they were absolutely perfect! The Eggs were fluffy and creamy and the bagels were to die for (Bagels are an incredibly difficult thing to source in this little town)
Our second visit, saw us both tackling the Danni Burger - from the perfectly seasoned crispy onion rings and fries, to the perfect burger patty, it is the perfect blend of juicy, well seasoned, and absolutely delicious.
The team are super friendly, and Chef Liam is able to cater to most dietary needs. Having worked at some of the TOP 5Star lodges in the region, he is well equipped to handle even the most tricky requests.
What stands out for me, over and above all of the absolute deliciousness, is that if you have a dietary concern, he will come and speak to you, and find out exactly what you need and then make it for you.
IF you are in Hoedspruit, then you HAVE to add a Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner here to your itinerary, trust me you will go back for more, perhaps even all three

The Harvest House restaurant is a delightful find. The food is nothing short of incredible, with each dish bursting with flavor and meticulously prepared. The atmosphere is equally impressive—warm, inviting, and perfectly suited for a relaxed dining experience. The real highlight, however, is the owners. They are exceptional hosts, making every guest feel welcomed and ensuring that your dining experience is truly special. Very good service and excellent food. My favorite items so far are the salmon salad and the pork ribs. Falafel salad is also quite nice. The potato skins are unlike any others I've had before, very crispy. The chips/french fries and onion rings also come out crispy and hot. Everything is homemade, and they welcome feedback as they are keen to improve and make sure you are happy. I appreciate that they use environmentally-friendly paper/cardboard containers for takeaways. It's quite popular at the moment, so reservations are a good idea. Say hello to little Jessie, the pup!

Harvest House offers an exceptional atmosphere that makes it ideal for creating lasting memories with friends and family while enjoying outstanding cuisine. It's hard to choose a favorite dish, as each visit reveals something new and delightful. The chef’s passion is evident in every bite, even turning simple items like potato skins into a gourmet experience. A visit here is definitely worth it!

What a relief this food was. We've been in Africa for a week now and this is the only place where we've had a really good meal! Mega thanks for this. Around the place itself a lot is being built so that's a bit less but we certainly would have given that for it! It was healthy, not covered in pounds of cheese and fat, and the pure flavors came into their own perfectly.
