This restaurant is well known for it's good food and definitely did not disappoint. The restaurant was quite full so we waited for about 10 minutes for a table for our group of 8 people. The staff were friendly and there was a nice ambiance. As it was busy, the meals took a while to be served. Lots of parking... More

What a gem! This restaurant is situated in the Brittania Hotel in Durban. It's very popular amongst the locals which is a giveaway that it is tasty! It's delicious curry for cheap prices! Don't be put off by the look of the building and the area on the outside! I recommend getting the very affordable mutton curry. There is also... More

The lamb was dry and tasteless. Although the place was almost empty we had to ask to be served! Definitely driving by next time

Tastiest Indian food in Durban. Wow! The Butter chicken was incredible. It is a place where all the locals go and you can truly experience amazimg Indian dishes in Durban. Also try and visit the karoake nights in the Cafe, cool vibe.

We had high expectations when we headed to Capsicum for lunch today. We had heard such great reviews. Unfortunately our expectations were short lived. We had made a booking for 15:30. We weren't seated until 16:00. We waited a further 45 minutes for our drinks. Upon ordering our food we were told that the order would take approximately 40 minutes.... More

Capsicum is ranked as one of the best curry houses in Durban, and we do not disagree with this. The adults had some delicious and perfectly spiced bunnies (both prawn and boneless mutton), as well as a fish roe curry. We were especially fascinated with the delightful roe curry as roe is a popular seasonal food in Norway, and it's... More

Situated inside the Old Britannica Hotel, this fading hotel restaurant is trying hard to hang on, well amazingly the food is very authentic, obviously their cook is the saving grace. The restaurant needs a facelift same as the hotel itself.. its really buzy tho as they are not expensive and the food is well prepared.

the problem with Capsicum at Britannia is the service, it never gets any better or improves! i have tried it a couple times- the foods okay but the service between the waitpersons is appalling, slow, inconstant, food comes out at different illogical times on the table. drinks never proceed steadily an often forgotten about whats been ordered. One of those... More

During my Durban visit, I wanted to taste Indian foods and everybody recommended here. Spicy meals are really delicious. I liked "Boneless Mutton". Restaurant is well decorated and comfortable but light is not enough (A little bit dark). Service is slower as usual in most of restaurants and Cafe in South Africa. Not expensive restaurant. Prices are average. Car park... More
