This is a charming hotel with good sized rooms and an excellent restaurant. I enjoy eating my supper in the bar as it has a relaxed feel.

Portions are just right, sauces were proper, sides also just right. Quite and relaxed atmosphere, great wine list. Even if you not staying at the hotel go to the restaurant for a worthwhile meal, not cheap but not over priced. Friendly service, will go again.

I enjoy the FairCity hotels; if you shop around and wait for its pricing "valleys" the value is excellent, less so at normal rack rate. Good breakfast with a newspaper, good DSTV and comfortable beds. I tend not to go back because the traffic is a problem for me as i need to be on the south side of Sandton,... More

This is simply the best kept secret in Johannesburg - very professional employees who are passionate about what they do and they make the experience memorable. At short notice a change to conference and dietary requirements - no problem!!! Set up within 30 min for a group of 20 - outstanding and the buffet for lunch was scrumptious- not to... More

Sel et poivre remains à mistery to me. I do not know if as in the past this place was promoting itself as a belgian restaurant , well to make things clear as i have in the past , this place is not and has never served belgian food even not any fusion between african and belgian food. Service is... More

We enjoyed a very decadent and peaceful tea here before my friend's wedding. The spread was beautiful and the courtyard location pretty. The facebrick buildings aren't exactly characterful, but are softened by the water and foliage. We had a lovely time. There was plenty of food and a good selection. The sweets were particularly good. My only suggestions would be... More

The restaurant offers an adequate breakfast buffet as well as a varied dinner buffet(they also have an a la carte menu for dinner). Service from staff is good in the evening.

Although the menu is not extensive it has something for everyone with a super selection of starters, main dishes and desserts. They have a super wine selection too. We enjoyed dinner here twice during our eight-day stay served by very attentive and well trained staff.

We had dinner at this place. The waiters were very helpful and friendly. Ask for their specialties. We ended up with having their special Caprese salad, sardines with avocado, ostrich meat, and game meat. All of these dishes were very tasty and the presentation was amazing.

I would book the Quartermain again JUST for their excellent quality of their food and their comprehensive wine list! Breakfast was innovative, sumptuous and the coffee was great. They make a mean macchiato and understand single or double! Back soon!
