Good food, fresh and hot. Service is excellent and the Restaurant Management are there to assist patrons. The menu caters for both meat eaters, chicken lovers , fish lovers and vegetarians. Although the vegetarian items are a bit limited which could be increased, the items on the menu are good. Lovely ambiance provided with good overall service. Will absolutely recommend... More

Chicken was burnt, clams were disgusting. Service was really slow and we had to repeatedly ask to be served . Won't be returning . Save your money and go elsewhere

My partner and I stumbled into this little gem for a light lunch. The menu and options was extensive. And it had a peaceful atmosphere. The most notable experience was the service received. My waitron Brandon was attentive respectful and looked after us perfectly. The service a received was the best I've had in Johannesburg. I will be coming back... More

Typical Portuguese cuisine which never disappoints. I have dined at this restaurant a few times and was pleasantly surprised with the renovations which have made the restaurant much larger incorporating the previous outside area into one glass fronted restaurant. Still the same warm, friendly ambiance, good food and service. One of my favourites

Had a few meals at Adega and have not bee let down. Wines are also normally good. If you like the Portuguese style it just what you need. Service is good and quick. A good place to meet some one for a meal.

Had the unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant . The service was friendly but clueless. The food , well, we decided to take a doggy bag to feed a beggar but decided to give it to the parking attendant. Didn't want it because he knows their food is not good . Did not ask for money instead. Everybody can... More

We have been frequent visitors to Adega but our recent visit with friends from overseas was a disappointment. There seems to be some staff changes, and not for the better. The friendly maitre d'hotel who always kept the wait-staff on their toes was missing and the waiters were more interested in talking to each other than looking after the diners.... More

Terrible dinner last night. Table not set, dirty napkin. Had to keep asking the waitress for things i.e. Clean napkins, cutlery, plates. Poured out own water & wine as the waitress was hardly around. No tatare sauce with calamari offered, prawns on mains were over cooked, vegetable sides disgusting & ice cold. Sauces ice cold & only 1 teaspoon? Sent... More

If you are looking for the most delicious prawns and chicken, Adega is your spot. Adega consistently prepare the best prawns and chicken. We used to love preparing prawns at home but having eaten at Adega, home prepared prawns are a distant memory. The waiters know their menu and are efficient and pleasant.
