We recently went to try the almond croissants at Le Fournil as everyone raves about them. Unfortunately I was left very disappointed. - The size of croissants is VERY stingy (they would be considered small croissants at any of the decent bakeries one visits. (Perhaps this is due to how rich they are) - They were incredibly stodgy, with none... More

Take a stroll down the main road, browsing at the boutiques as you go and then stop at Le Feinil's bustling coffe shop and indulge yourself with the best tasting Almond Croissants ever. Gorgeous.

This is an iconic place to relax. It is beautifully situated away from the Main Street noise. Great selection of breakfasts. Excellent coffee and a strong WiFi system inside. Very popular for "ladies who lunch" and also for small business meetings.

Maybe their success have allowed them to slip in their quality, the croissants are not as good as normal, the eggs Benedict had pressed ham and our experience was disappointing. Maybe the holiday crowds will accept average. We will re-visit out of season and see if the... More

Very nice surroundings just off the N2. You can smoke on the died nearest the road but not outside on the west side. Service is good and pleasant without being intrusive.. The top came off my pepper grinder and dumped its entire charge over my ribeye. The plate was replaced but not the tomatoe and pesto side dish. My friends... More

When in Plett please make sure that you fit a breakfast in at Le Fournil. Atmosphere great and food very interesting. Try the croissant dishes. They are excellent!

not only the setting , it is the food /bakery, that makes us come back so often. sometimes you have to wait a little, but just sit back and relax and wait for your almond croissant
