The Lemon Grass has a great setting. Right on the beach, with options to sit inside or outside, this is a nice spot to spend an evening, especially once the candles are lit. However, we found the food to be very disappointing. If you are going to cook fish simply and let the freshness of the ingredients do the talking,... More

During a recent extended stay in Plett we frequented Lemon grass, sometimes for drinks, some times for dinner. This restaurant has been on our agenda for many years and I have reviewed it before but think that this year it is better than ever. On each visit we were made very welcome. Try the local gin and the Creme brûlée... More

Have been twice to Lemon grass since we arrived a couple of weeks ago. We come to the area annually and haven't ever been disappointed in the food or service. Lots of beautiful fresh fish and quite a few spicy dishes such as a delicious lamb curry. Very attractive location as it's situated right on the beach so ideal to... More

9/2/17 A place for people who think they are fancy and who want to show off for other people who think they are fancy. Nicely situated down by the beach with good view. We ordered avocado and shrimp cocktail as starter. There was one and a half shrimp and a few small avocado cubes in the glas. The rest was... More

As we were staying at Milkwood Manor, we thought we would eat at the restaurant on the first night. The menu was limited and there were a lot of Thai dishes. However, we found something we liked and it was very nice. The waiter was very nervous.

We booked the Lemon Grass for a leisurely Sunday lunch based on the generally good reviews and its lovely position overlooking the lagoon. We specifically asked for a table on the terrace but on arriving were shown to a table just inside with only distant views. It was far from busy but I could not tell if all the tables... More

Nice but not great meal. Starter came out very quickly. Fish was nice but wasn't keen on the potato which I did choose. Didn't need to book as plenty of empty tables. Have been spoilt by meals at our hotel.

Booked outside table for my birthday , given one inside, told non available outside. Another couple came in after us given inside table, complained and given an outside table. I wanted to walk out but sadly my wife would not.
