Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The family were on a guided tour of the Grand Canyon & our man Steve brought us here to the Cameron Trading Post for lunch. I'm so pleased he did, we are now back in England and able to tell people we've had a Navajo meal of which not many can admit to here! We had the Navajo Taco which was huge and very filling. I'd advise not eating these too often as your waistline would wave the white flag but as a one off it was splendid, basically a Mexican with a vast Indian naan bread base. Loved it. Couldn't move for a while :-) There's a big old shop attached too where you can buy a large array of Navajp goodies with labels saying made in China!

After staying a couple of nights in Tusayan and paying the ridiculous prices for the few food choices near the Grand Canyon, we found this gem as we were heading east toward home. We stopped for a late breakfast, and the service was impeccable! The ambiance in the dining room was fabulous, and all of the employees were incredibly friendly. Our food came out quickly and tasted delicious, especially my husband's Trader's Special. Definitely recommend stopping here if you are in the vicinity!

Due to having a late lunch we were unable to partake of what looked like the delicious Navajo taco. (although it looked like everyone around us was enjoying it). I needed something light so I ordered a side salad with the intention of tasting my husband's beef stew. Well, I had more than a taste as I continually broke off pieces of the included fry bread & dipped it into the stew gravy. A few times I also took spoonfuls of the stew itself. Beside the great food, the room itself is so interesting with the tin ceiling and Navajo art.

They were offering takeout only due to governor’s dining restrictions. We pulled up to our assigned spot and placed our order with an extremely friendly server. We ordered two Navajo tacos, but asked that refried beans be added to them. Once our food was delivered, we were ordered to park elsewhere in the parking lot to eat it and free up a carry out parking spot. Well ... we didn’t get any of the chili meat. Our tacos were made vegetarian with the refried beans only. So we pulled back into our carry out spot, where the woman manning the door just stared at us. She could clearly see us. It was 10 mins until anyone came out and that was to deliver an order to the next car over. So we flagged that server down and he explained that if you ask for refried beans, then the tacos are made vegetarian. We went through our entire convo w the other server. How we specifically talked about wanting both the refried beans and the pinto/beef chili mixture. And that would mean we were getting double beans. The server offered to bring out two cups of chili beans. It was another eight minutes before he came back with them. By this time everything was pretty cold. The fry bread was rock hard. It was practically inedible. We were looking forward to an authentic fry bread experience and were totally disappointed.

We went here while traveling to Prescott AZ, tried it twice, the Indian Fry bread French Dip was very good, enough to share, but the fries were cold and soggy, so send them back for fresh ones. The Navajo stew is just terrible, no taste, just grease broth. The indian fry bread taco is good but be sure to ask for meat on yours otherwise it's just plain beans. The Mex combo plate for $17.95 is another rip-off, bland at best, with tort chips from a bag, hot sauce is good but will give you the runs a hour later ( ask me how I know ). The burgers are good, so that's always a go to item to fill you up

Not much in the way of other restaurants in the area, especially given the COVID closures. So it’s a credit to this place that it is generally excellent. Great service. It is clear that attention is paid to the food — we enjoyed the Navajo taco and the Navajo French dip. Our kids liked the burgers. Cameron Trading Post on the whole remains as stringent as anywhere else we have been on face masks. The guy out front was a bit off-putting in his tone in admonishing people to wear masks and follow the physical directions regarding entering and exiting the complex, to the point that some people coming in after us turned around and left. The rest of the staff was consistently polite.

In order to get into the restaurant you have to walk through the Cameron Trading Post (which, of course, is a brilliant business move). We were seated quickly but then the wait started. About twenty minutes later we finally had our water and ice tea. Another 45 minutes later we finally got our food; we honestly thought they had forgotten us. The special of the day was a BLT wrap with French fries and it was very good; I had the bread taco, which is a huge fry bread with taco meat; the bread was great, the meat didn't have any flavor. Sour cream was missing, but I didn't want to wait any longer.

Stopped here because of the positive reviews on TA. The setting was good and the service fine. My son really enjoyed his pancakes, but my Chuck Wagon breakfast and my wife's Vegetarian Warrior, although nicely presented were too bland for our taste.

A first time visit for us as we left the Grand Canyon through the east gate and planned a drive back through Flagstaff. The road took us through the Navajo Nation and Cameron. The Restaurant has a very large selection of food with several Fry Bread based dishes. We had a group of 6 with all of us trying something different. Everything was great, the staff friendly, and the service quick.

We stopped here with our tour and I'm glad they did. I ordered the Indian taco with the best fried bread. The only complaint I have is there wasn't much meat if any on mine. The others that got a taco said they had a little meat but not much. The service was good and the food arrived fast. I'd stop here again if in the area.

We found this place by chance and so glad we did. the food & atmosphere was great. Good wholesome food made from scratch, not processed but actually prepared & cooked. Prices were good & we were well taken care of. Be sure to try the fry bread, so good & the navajo beef stew too!

This was a overnight stop for us in their RV Park. We walked over to the restaurant for our evening meal. We were seated promptly. Our server was very efficient. My husband ordered the Prickly Pear Chicken with noodles. I had the Enchiladas with green chili sauce. Both meals were awesome. We look forward to eating here again soon. They are very concerned about COVID 19 protocol and are going above and beyond to make sure everyone is safe.

We stopped on our tour for Antelope Canyon. I expected this place to be a tourist trap. We were delighted that it had great souvenirs at competitive prices The greatest surprise was the restaurant. We chose to eat a light meal and ordered a Navajo Taco split between the two of us. It was huge and we each got a to go plate filled. In addition it was delicious.

We ate breakfast here. There were many good choices on the menu. Prices were reasonable and portions were good. The Navajo taco is huge! Service was fast and I loved the atmosphere! The trading post has many interesting treasures. They also had Navajo dry bread

Pleasantly surprised as the meal was pretty good. We had navaho taco and a patty melt. Very cool stuff on the walls too. The restaurant is in the back behind the gift shop so you need a mask.
