There are three restaurants at this hotel, this being one of them. The food was OK, and the views are better. Busy place. The menu is somewhat limited. My wife and I shared a chicken quesadilla - which was just enough food to cure our...More

My wife and I stayed at this lodge for two nights and had breakfast, lunch and dinner here twice. We reserved for dinner several weeks before our visit, which is a good idea. The food was generally good, but the service left a lot to...More

The food prices were not bad - similar to what we paid in other areas of Alaska. Which considering we were a captive audience I thought was good. And some of the food was good, if you ordered the right things. The salad and French...More

Views are great. Food ok. No one hurries you. Menu is limited. Wish the bar stayed open past 11 pm. Gift shop could have better selection.

With beautiful mountain views, we enjoyed dinner served by friendly, efficient Dana. Particularly delicious was my chicken pot pie; I don't recall having a better one. From the shrimp cocktail starter to the crème brulee dessert, everything was perfect. Reservations are necessary.

Crab cake Appetizer was awful... For $13, you get two tiny crab cakes. Deep fried also? Awful taste. Waiter had no answers to why? Go to Talkeetna for better food. Cheesy fries were covered with velveeta. Yuck !

There are only two restaurants at the lodge, and IMO this is the better one. The service was certainly faster and I think the food was a bit better. The main difference is that this one, if seated near the window, has an incredible view...More
