First time staying here in the winter..The roadhouse was a great price, comfy and cabin feel rooms. My man and I stayed for a day and night and was warmed with hospitality. They have everything on sight...bakery, restaurant, the bathrooms and showers out outside of the room...but isn't that biggie at all...our room was pleasant and we got a good... More

We decide we wanted breakfast for lunch and stopped by the Roadhouse to find they serve breakfast until 2. The raspberry walnut sourdough pancake was literally off the plate the reindeer sausage and biscuits could feed a lumberjack. We also order the chili that was so flavorful I forgot it was reindeer meat. The service was friendly and the ambience... More

We spent the night and had breakfast here. Such a wonderful experience. A really unique place, lots of natural beauty, great food and friendly staff. Winter is awesome. I will make this stop over and over

Such a fun little bar! Great live music. Several nights a week they have live music. You meet all kinds of people there. Lots of different kinds of beer.

We had breakfast at the Talkeetna Roadhouse recently and wow, was that good. Everything seemed to be homemade, including all the condiments. There is a bakery attached, which has oversized rolls, cookies, brownies, etc. It is family style sitting, so if it is busy, you may end up sitting with other people, but no one there seems to mind. I... More

My family and I had a late breakfast here before we left Talkeetna. The servings are enormous so be ready. (I also had coconut pie to go.) The atmosphere is charming - an old couple was "people-watching", a lady was playing an out-of-tune piano, the waitress was very friendly, the decor is just as you woudl imagine a roadhouse to... This two-story log structure, built between 1914 and 1917, was constructed by Frank Lee to supply area miners transporting goods by horse drawn wagons. Since 1944, the property has been a roadhouse where owners have rented rooms and provided restaurant service. Decor is basic and the atmosphere is casual. Seating is family style at long tables encouraging conversations with others.... More

We love the Talkeetna Roadhouse and it was fun to visit it in the winter. I love the sourdough pancakes and order them with blueberries. Juice and coffee comes with every breakfast.

Had breakfast at the roadhouse. Foot was great, family seating and very crowded but service was fast. A throwback in time. Loved it!

Breakfast is family style and was very good. Excellent service. Then bakery smelled wonderful. Bought some baked goods for the ride north.
