Tucked away a few roads off the highway there is a pleasant cafe with a very rural atmosphere, but a little pricy

visited a few days ago with my daughter and granddaughter, and was amazed at the layout of the place. The eating area is in the old sheepyards, the retail shop is in the shearing shed, and a silo comes in handy for the kitchen and counters. All in marvellous order with some of original machinery intact. Took us way back... More

I always enjoy calling in here for a coffee and a bite to eat. The variety of food is great and you can order from the cabinet or menu. There is a great planr nursery there now, and a mini golf course and many animals to see. A fun place for all the family, in the original farm shed.

Great tasty lunch and coffee. Food was delicious and coffee great. Small menu with interesting choices and cabinet food looked good too. Lots of seating options inside and outside in nice rural setting. Staff warm and friendly. Often pop in here on our way to / from Timaru and always enjoy it.

We went there to play mini golf. This was worn and very tired looking. The water feature was slimy green. The mini golf was fun beside all these as the individual courses were challenging and entertaining. My 5yo loved it. We were very disappointed with the animal section as again very tired looking. The only ones who looked like they... More

If you plan a visit, especially from out of town, they are closed. There was no detail of this on their website though, only when you pull up to the gates and there is a sign on them. I did however, find their Facebook page and it was on there. Although not everyone checks Facebook when planning out of town... More

Have been here on a few occasions now and always very nice food, plenty of choice and friendly staff. The outside dining areas are great, I do recommend trying this place upon visiting Timaru.

We visited for lunch on a rainy day. The atmosphere was relaxed and the fires warming. Service was fantastic, the hosts even offering to let us entertain my restless niece with the feeding of the animals! Lunch was delicious, all home-made and full of flavour. Don't go past the mushrooms and halloumi.
