It has a medium-sized dining room, with no more than a dozen tables, very close to Plaza Chica, in the center of Avila, pleasant both in atmosphere and service. Specialized in meats. Reservations are necessary, although the last appointment is at 3:30 p.m. First we ordered the piquillo peppers stuffed with meat and vegetables to share, very delicious, and the avocado with shrimp, exquisite. I saw the revolconas potatoes, a good portion. with good looking. As a second course, two sirloins, magnificent, good size, pure butter. If you go for the steak, it has a medium-large size, without exaggeration. For dessert, fried milk (very sweet for me) and mountain pie, a puff pastry with very soft cream. Together with a rivera and the coffees they were €116 (€58/diner), a price appropriate to the perceived quality. Noted to repeat.

Highlight the friendliness of the staff, it's nice to be treated like this. We went for the weekend menu on a Sunday, with prior reservation (call several days in advance). We ordered revolconas potatoes (slightly liquid and with little flavor, I've had better ones) and stuffed peppers (they really liked them), and as main course chops (meager) and sirloin (just correct). If you order sirloin or steak you must pay an additional fee. I give it a good mark for the service. Would I go back? No, but I don't regret having gone.

As for starters, the stuffed piquillo peppers (with meat) are very good. The mushroom scramble with shrimp is also very good. The squid is excellent, for 13 euros it comes with more than 20 squid, and real squid, not squid. Very good. As for seconds, we ordered a very good cochifrito, the chops were very very good too. Now, the star dish, the steaks. First of all, I advise that if you don't like raw meat, don't order it medium-rare, but rather more done. The steaks are very good, very well done and presented, with a very curious pyramid-shaped salt. All the seconds had a garnish of homemade potatoes. As for desserts, we ordered egg yolks from Ávila and a brownie with ice cream. All very good. The place is good, with quality Spanish music. Excellent service, the owner came out and invited us to drinks. Price according to quality. Totally recommended.

The food was good and the service very good. They have an a la carte and two menus, €38 and €42 (you can choose a starter, main course, dessert and a drink from the menu). We also ordered other things off the menu and I took the bill as if everything were on the menu. We didn't say anything because the price difference was very small. Otherwise everything was very good (personal attention and the place is quiet). I will be back

Good service and pleasant. We ate the €38 menu and others the €42 menu, you choose any starter from the menu and any meat or fish dish as a second, a homemade dessert and a drink. The coffee is expensive at €1.8. They put liquor in detail. The chops are huge, the knives should cut better. Yummy bread. A little old-fashioned place, some basic changes and I would give a change (paint, tablecloths, napkins) Good quantity at a good price with a variety of dishes.

Passing through Ávila we were looking for a typical restaurant to try chop, we were recommended Los Candiles asking in a pharmacy and it was a success, plus an amazing chop surprised us the tenderloins, incredible quality !!! The rest of the dishes and desserts we tried, homemade food and everything very good, to repeat!!

We reserved a table for 4, super punctual. The service was very good and fast. Everything was super delicious, unbeatable value for money. We ate a small mixed salad (thank goodness it was small because it is quite large), some homemade mixed croquettes (especially the ham ones were exquisite), a tapa of revolconas potatoes. As main dishes, sirloin and a steak from Ávila (they were both very very good ) and a shoulder and some lamb chops (which were delicious) Some desserts

The “Los Candiles” experience begins with the kindness and honesty of its owner. Exactly that is the moment when you know that you are going to eat very well that day... Very correct menu, without great pretensions, but taking great care of the product and the traditional flavors of this beautiful city. We went with our two-year-old son and they placed us in a quiet corner of the dining room. From that moment on, everything was an enjoyment for the palate, since the person in charge of lighting those stoves treats those foods with great love and enthusiasm. . We ordered both menus, starters that do not fail for all types of palates, and regarding the meats we can only thank them, to the point that we ordered them and of excellent quality, the beef tenderloin..., a delight, we could not have used knife to eat it, butter!!!. We didn't even talk about the desserts, it's been years since we've tried such a spectacular roast milk. Thank you for such a pleasant and recommended experience, we will return!!

I agree with what the parishioners have said. Traditional cuisine, pleasant service. We chose the €38 menu for a good steak of which I left meat stuck to the bone. The years are not forgiving, with what a cannibal I was.... anyway, dessert and beans well and the house liquor as an invitation of which I only took half a shot, the road is dangerous.

We entered exactly the opening time, the waiter received us very kindly. We were talking with the people who attended us, which made the visit more enjoyable. Upon receiving the dish, the wonderful taste, we ordered the typical dish of Ávila (veal). The atmosphere was very nice. I highly recommend this place and also eat beef which is the specialty of Avila!

The gastronomic landscape of Avila has been worse in recent years, now it is a place for visits of a few hours and cheap menus of the day, unfortunately. Los Candiles escapes that bleak panorama, and here you can enjoy good grilled abulan meat. Don’t risk the starters and go to safety: Boat beans and wallows. Functional room and efficient service. Let it not change.

We ate at this restaurant last night as the one we usually go to is closed for holidays. The restaurant is bright and small with comfortable seating. We decided to order from the carta instead of the fixed menu which by the way is excellent value. We started with the morcilla with roasted apple and it was one of the best starters we have eaten. We will without doubt return to Los Candiles for the starter. We then ordered the chuleton for two which came with a few patatas fritas. We ordered another rashen of the patatas fritas as they only give you a few and they were absolutely delicious. You could really taste the fluffy potato inside and they were crisp and hot just absolutely scrumptious. The steak itself was huge and cooked to perfection it was like butter and melted in the mouth and had a good depth of taste in it too and it was topped with plenty of sea salt just absolutely exquisite. We then ordered the pastel with cream and custard which again was extremely yummy. The bread was tasty and I asked for some butter which they brought promptly as being English we love butter with our bread. The wine was again exceptional and very reasonable for the quality. The service was also really lovely the owner Domingo was extremely lovely as was Paco. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and can see why it is number 1 on trip advisor. We will Definitely return soon. Many thanks Jane and Juan

Second time I visit the Candiles and does not disappoint, spectacular food if you want to eat quality meat. Rich and varied croquettes, the service is great. The owner of the place welcomes you in a very warm and familiar way, we will definitely return. I recommend making a reservation because it is a very busy place!

It wasn't the first time I've been, and God willing it won't be the last. On this occasion we celebrate a family meal, seven adults and two minors. We were all delighted. Excellent value for money. Variety on the menu, exquisite food, quality in the raw material, careful presentation and generous portions. The service from the young waiter who served us very good, and the friendliness and attention of the owner of note. We enjoyed it.
