We went to Crate Cafe a view times. The coffee (espresso) is really nice and the smoothie bowls are very tastefull, also the smoothies. You have to wait a little, but not more than 30 minutes. The staff is friendly and this place is already...open from 6 AM. Very nice if you have to leave early and want to have some breakfast before.More

Food all looks stunning, great prices and nice atmosphere. Ordered the eggs Benz and it arrived, soggy mashed potato, a mound of salty spinach and one egg, advertised as having ham but came with really crispy bacon and the whole thing was freezing cold. I...thought this might have been just a bad choice so gave it a second try and ordered the ‘Frenchy’ croissant and asked for no tomatoes. It arrived, with tomatoes. Additionally, the feta cheese within was so sour and again the whole dish was cold. Thankfully no dish was more that £3.50 or I’d have been super annoyed! I’d just get a Tescos meal deal for the same price instead.More

This is basically the McDonalds of brunch/breakfast places. The food is piled on without any craft or composition. The tastes are bland as a result. The eggs poorly cooked and the rest of the ingredients just lumped on for a quantity versus quality approach. Consistent...with the rest of the place: a conveyor belt of mediocrity powered by unfounded hype. There are so much better offerings in the area wasting a breakfast morning here is a sin.More

Surprised by the recent negative reviews, as we had a great experience. Food is cheap, no long wait, got a table, smoothie bowl was very yum. They served the biggest salad I have ever seen! Could have done with a bit of a higher protein...to leaf ratio, but was still good.More

Terrible food, avoid. French toast was not well made, it was bready and awful. Everything was sub par. Ok place to have coffee but that’s about it. We ordered almost everything on the menu as we were 8 ppl. Their pastries are terrible too, brother...had the almond croissant it was doughy and dry. See pics. Total waste of time and stomach space. Milk and madu is far superior. In fact that whole restaurant group is far far better.More

Came here on a visit to Canggu and while the menu sounds good, the taste was mediocre. Food took forever to arrive. Had to wait almost 45 minutes for our food to arrive even though when we went, the place wasn’t that crowded

We have had brunch every single day since arriving in Bali over 2 weeks ago, and this cafe is definitely at the bottom of our list. Food is below average, quite tasteless and only looks pretty. Super long wait for food on top of it....Not worth itMore

Not worth the hype - massively over crowded and hectic. The queue was ridiculously long and no seats available. We paid cash so ordered while waiting in the queue and managed to find a seat, we waited over 30 minutes and could see people around...us getting food despite ordering after us. We had to ask someone as they clearly lost our ticket due to poor organisation. Yet no apology offered. Iced latte was a mess - probably the worst coffee I’ve had in Bali. Other food is generally okay but nothing I haven’t had before. People just squish onto the table next to you even if there isn’t enough room. Massively over hyped and I personally wouldn’t bother - there are much nicer places in Bali.More

My husband and I ate at Crate three times but the last time we both ordered a salad …. Both got Bali belly. Up until this point we were super happy with all the different meals we tried but this time we made the rookie...error of both ordering the exact same thing and both got unwell at the exact same time. Super average . Food is pretty tasteless. We placed an order for 2 bowls they came 20mins apart .. food only looks nice for the picture but doesn’t really taste good . There are much better places to get your breakfast in Canggu

Delicious! The bread is amazing! Huge portions and a small price for them. BUT THE MUSIC IS VERY LOUD, the head starts to hurt from it, if the table is near the music speakers! For the rest, everything is great.
