We drove down from Fairbanks just to eat here. When we arrived the parking lot was full. Usual. Inside the waitress was rude and unwelcoming. She could not wait on us for 45 minutes she said and we could not sit at a table, only the bar. In my 30 years of eating here this was the worst greeting we... More

We had asked in Fairbanks were to stop for dinner on our drive to Healy. Everyone said that we should stop at Monderosa and we are glad we took this advice. Food was fresh and good and the environment was classic Alaskan. We enjoyed the visit and it was a perfect break on our trip.

While staying in Fairbanks with my wife the hotel manager suggested this stop for an authentic area lunch and a beautiful drive. Dead on for both! About 60 quick miles on a magnificent drive from Fairbanks with not a single traffic light and great road. Mountains and valleys, snow capped and green and passes a home with about 40 dog... More

Had the bacon burger and fries. Descent food and very friendly environment. Best place to eat between Fairbanks and Healy in my opinion.

We Stopped for a quick lunch. Kinda dim lighting but it is kinda a bar setting. It Was very quick and delicious to. I got the shrimp and salad it was fresh and juicy. The husband got the halibut sandwich with fries. He also said that it was fresh and juicy. So lunch win.

This was recommended someone in Nenana, AK and we were not disappointed. While it is a bar, it is family friendly and the burgers and fries are awesome. And we got some good information about the tripod spring event in Nenana. If you are not familiar with it, check it out online.

I took a group to Denali and they wanted to stop for lunch. My burger was good, and the guests had halibut and they said it was good too. Only complaint would be the number of smokers in the outdoor dining area. Probably next time I'll remember to tell the passengers that people smoke out there.

Loved eating here 10 years ago. Don't know what changed, but average burger at best. I think they used to be hand patted, now frozen patties. Waitress was phenomenal. She was waitress, bartender, cook, cleaned tables, cashier. She did all very efficiently.

When I am heading North from Anchorage - about 20 miles south of Nenana I get cell coverage- then I order burgers - and they are always ready by the time I get to the Monderosa- Big burgers - grilled perfect. Not too bad of a price considering you are in the middle of nowhere...Definite lunch stop every time.
