The best chowder that I have ever had, the seafood is fresh and the wait staff was extremely thoughtful. I had never had razor clams as compared to my favorites when visiting the northeast. The waitress had the cook fix two for me and my fishing buddy to try before ordering. Something you don't see every day. A great place.
Louie's is an outstanding restaurant -- a bit pricey in the evening, very reasonable for breakfasts. I have never had a bad meal here. In fact everything has been very good. Just can be a little expensive. Very Alaskana in atmosphere!
Ya just gotta go. Authentic, rustic decor, Alaska gem. Down to earth, great food. Staff are great, laid back and attentive. From Louisiana, I love the simple goodness of halibut fish & chipse done the Alaska way.
