Beautiful restaurant with a stunning view, but the worst service we have encountered in Alaska and they weren't even that busy! We took a seat by the window, so far so good. Finally caught the eye of a waitress a very loud chatty woman, and to my horror said she was an Australian. I am Australian and wanted hang my... More

Took the Tram to the top of Mt. Douglas. Views were spectacular and certainly worth the trip. Decided to have dinner at Timberline based on Trip Advisor reviews. While seated quickly - that was about it. When the server arrived, she took our drink orders. When the drink orders came, she said "Can I get you anything else" as we... More

We love to eat here and come here every time we are in Juneau. The views are great but so was the service and food. We had the wild salmon, chicken truffle and rockfish tacos and the stuffed fry bread for desert. Great experience!

The beer was great (Alaskan) and we had the crab nachos. I wouldn't say it was "signature dish" worthy, but it was good. Unfortunately we didn't get to sit next to the window with a view (tables were reserved), but it was still nice. Our server was a bit slower, but a genuine nice guy. Not too expensive either.

We had drinks at this bar at the top of the tram. It is rustic and perfect for the area. Our server was very freindly and excellent.

Milica was my server who smiled a genuine smile all the time. Very friendly and good service. Since it was not busy due to Mother's Day being tomorrow I got to have short conversations with her which made my dining experience much more enjoyable. I ordered an all American burger was not only affordable & not high priced, it was... More

Rode the tram, hiked a bit and decided to stop at the Timberline. MISTAKE. While the beer is adequately priced, the Salmon tots tasted like old potatoes and rotten Salmon. Pretty sure the bears wouldn't even eat these. Hubby had the tongass burger with duck bacon, said the burger was good and duck bacon was tasty. The crab fry bread... More

We went up for lunch and had the most crazy server, she really should have written our order down. She messed up my mom's order twice and really should come back down to earth and concentrate on her job.

Subject: Timberline bar & grill 490 s Franklin Aug30, 2016 Great food matches great views; exceeded expectations. We reached the top of Mt Roberts tramway and were delighted to find a first class restaurant, the Timberline. As we were presenting ourselves to them very late in their day, we expected a fatigued wait-staff and indifferent service at best. Wrong. To... More

Service was inconsistent! Young staff but not very organized. She didn't seem to know menu or what they sold. More training definetly required. The food took longer than it should have. I assume similar issues in the kitchen. When it did arrive it was just OK. Certainly nothing that you would not have received at a 100 other spots. The... More
