My visit didn't start out great, because the clientele seemed to be 90% twentysomethings who all gave me "that look" for being there by myself (seriously can we all get over it... traveling solo is amazing! You get to go where you want, do what...More

Walking in, you wonder how the building remains standing. The steps and walls are all crooked! A good rumble and this place would slide off the mountain. The food was good solid pub food, but the whole place was grubby looking -- in need a...More

Went twice to the 49th. The staff was terrific especially April from our home state of Connecticut. Husband loved the Lager beer and Crabby Cheese sandwich & my drink called 3rd & G was out of this world. Try it and you will not be...More

It was a big, noisy place. The food was good, nothing extraordinary and service was a bit disorganized Being that it was one of only four places open, it was packed and some offerings were no longer available as they were obviously using up what...More

What a great place! Had dinner here a couple of years ago, and I still think about the Yak-burger. They have a great atmosphere, good service and the place was just buzzing when we were there. Absolutely worth a visit.

Really lively place in a rural town.....didn't see that coming. Had to wait a while to get a table, but glad we did. Had a number of local beers on tape, and the food was pretty good. Mostly barbecue style (pulled pork etc.). Watch out...More

Awesome beer but horrible service. Rude. The place smells like a bathroom. Didn't eat their food...couldn't stand the smells.

Nice atmosphere. Very Alaskan interior design. Lots of antlers, Beer bottle decorations. Mix of locals and tourists. Food was good. If you go away hungry, it's your fault. Wide menu with lots of selections and equally wide beverage selections.

We had a rental car when we were in Denali area. However, there is a shuttle from 49th state brewery which owns several restaurants in that area and they do run a shuttle service among their restaurants. I understand you can... More

Description
Whether ordering a burger the size of your head, Alderwood smoked ribs that fall off the bone, or a local organic salad the food at the 49th will not disappoint. Our award winning craft beer is brewed on premises and can be enjoyed in the beer garden while playing disc golf, bocce ball, horseshoes, or bags. The 49th's outdoor concert series brings acts such as: The Wailers, Trampled by Turtles, Dark Star Orchestra, Keller Williams, Pato Banton, and Matt Lewis and the Medicine. The "Into the Wild" bus from the movie is in the garden and visitors are welcome to go aboard to see the memorabilia on display. As we are located 8 miles north of the Denali hub, we offer a local shuttle for a worry free visit.
